Alright so this idea started when me and a friend were joking around about DnD pantheon and I said something along the lines of, " What if there was a campaign that took place in the revolutionary war." In which my friend replied with," What if you had the Founding Fathers as a pantheon." So now it got me thinking, what if I had the Founding Fathers of the USA as a set of pantheons. I was thinking they would be NE but I don't know where else to go with this since this is my first time making a pantheon from scratch. What spells would Clerics, Paladins and warlocks gain? Would the the be considered on entity or could they pick on main Founding Father to follow? I'd like to know some tips and tricks in creating such a rather fun and ridiculous pantheon. But yeah I'm pretty lost in this creation and would like to know where to look and what to read into. Also ways to make sure my PC's don't abuse this pantheon would be nice. Thanks in advance and yes this homebrew is kind of silly but that's the point of it.
I think you can fit the founders into existing domains, I wouldn't worry about mechanics. What you need to do is select an alignment, a purview, and some domains for each founder and you're done!
"The relevant equation is: Knowledge = power = energy = matter = mass; a good bookshop is just a genteel Black Hole that knows how to read." - Terry Pratchett
Their priests would probably be attractive, 'healthy' men who show pride not only in their own abilities, but should have a dislike of those that would oppress them (Drow could work, or another human tribe/kingdom). I would think that the reason for following them (besides being tribal like gods), would be because they offer to make them greater than what they thought they could be. Expect long and rousing speeches, and warlike behaviors. They might also prefer actions to words, that is to say, preferring a prayer during the heat of battle than in the safety of temples. Lawful-ish gods of patriotism? Something an old DM of mine did, was say that the gods don't answer you unless you are fanatically devoted to them. If the players are willing to give up half of their loot, and to follow every law of the god then they shouldn't be able to abuse the pantheon.

You could even have an evil pantheon that opposes the Founding Fathers.
The New Founding Fathers, of the Purge films. LOL!
