Hello! I checked the search feature but didn't see anything on this question: Is there a way to set the cost of a homebrew item? For example, if I create a shield from scratch can I set the cost of that item so it is easily viewable in the item description? Right now it just shows up as "Cost: --". Thank you!
If creating through the Homebrew tool you cannot set a base cost because the Rules as Written - magic items don't have a set cost, they have a cost range and indvidual item cost is decided by DM on a case-by-case basis.
However, when it is on your sheet you can click it, click customise and enter a value in the Cost Override field.
