There is something to be said for homebrew that is simple and to the point. Well written, you appear to have the modifiers in the correct places, I like it!

Pretty straight forward. As is, it might need to be a level 3 (or higher?) spell. Darkness without concentration or drawback basically gives darkvision permanent advantage to attacks.

It's largely the same as a second level spell. It's defeated by darkvision or the light cantrip
I created a spell that's basically an inverse of Continual Flame for sneaky characters with darkvision. Let me know what you think.

This is true, but a light cantrip won't do you much good against the 40 foot ball of darkness firing arrows at you from 100 feet away with advantage.
