I'm not looking to publish anything here - but there are some classes/races from previous versions of D&D that I would like to use.
My question:
Because I'm a lazy idiot, I was looking at copy/pasting these classes/races descriptions and info from previous, paid, WOTC publications.
For example: Can I convert a 3.5 race/class from a Forgotten Realms 3.5 resource book using the information provided in THAT book? I don't really have time to write a full description for everything - so I was looking at simply copy/pasting that stuff.
I'm not sure what the rules are here - it doesn't seem legit - but at the same time, WOTC owns the content in the books I have, as well as the content here. So it's like here's a description of this from <reference book here>. Would love to get some insight into this.
you're welcome to create private homebrew based on previous editions of D&D / AD&D - that's totally fine and can be really cool. :)
Please note, as above, we ask that you don't hit the publish button on anything that Wizards of the Coast own copyright on, but sharing it privately within a campaign is fine.
