I am having a very hard time with figuring out how to actually give homebrew spells the feature, like normal spells do, of higher level spell casting. Because I have the spell on my sheet, but it won’t appear on the 2nd level chart or nothing. This is frustrating and I can’t get it to work and I don’t want to have to have my spell trashed because of this problem.
Looking at how official spells do it, there seems top be a "At Higher Level Scaling" checkbox that they have checked under their description in the spell builder. Does that help?

I’ve done this, but every time I try to make it available to be at higher levels it doesn’t work. Especially since the locations of “At Higher Levels” section doesn’t actually help. I’m trying to figure out how to apply that feature to a newly created spell.

It’s a 1st level Necromancy spell that I wanted to give to the Oathbreaker subclass and domain (Death) Cleric. To be able to heal their undead allies so they are able to stay longer.

In these situations where I can't get the system to do what I want, I just copy a spell that does and change the text accordingly.
Ah
What is the spell description? Also try saving the spell again. That forces the system to re-evaluate it.

Could you copy and paste the spell description so I can see what the At Higher Levels looks like?
