I'm creating Cleric subclasses for specific Gods in a custom pantheon (using different Divine Domains for each, with unique Class Features appropriate for the deity's sphere of influence).
However, while I can add additional Features, or replace those from the default set that an existing Domain template might have, there are some 'Priest' subclasses that I don't want to have the ability to Turn or Destroy Undead, for example - it doesn't fit their more specialised area of focus, and they gain other advantages that more 'generic' Clerics don't have.
How do I remove a default Class Feature from a homebrew subclass based upon it?
Thanks for the quick reply...totally understand, and it's a minor thing - the Homebrew tool is freaking amazing, so it's no criticism. I would suggest that it be included when possible as it would allow an additional layer of nuance for those of us crafting custom aspects of our campaigns.
Asking also indicates continued interest in the issue, so that admins and devs know that players want the feature. It's also anyone's prerogative to ask questions on here. [REDACTED]
Notes: Please keep posts respectful, welcoming, and constructive.
Worth a shot...as far as I know, it's not been changed (but I've continued to hear that the General Feature System is still being developed, which - if I understand it correctly) would make this (OP) kind of thing feasible. The recent mechanical changes removing unique racial bonuses in favour of consistent race-agnostic bumps is also moving in a similar direction IMHO (by not assuming that all elves are 'lithe yet nimble' automatically). In any case, the direction of travel is positive, and though perhaps delayed by the acquisition news and reorientation, they seem dedicated to digital in a way we've never seen before.
i did not understand a word you said, but i just want it so i can remove all the things from cleric (Cleric gets subclass at lvl 1, so its the most convenient class) and add stuff so its basically a whole new class

Homebrew of subclasses doesn't include the ability to remove features of the core class.
This may be introduced when the homebrew system update happens.

Keep up the good work!
Has this feature been implemented yet?
Not to the best of my knowledge, unfortunately. I've got twenty unique Priests to build as soon as it does...

So if i ask if its happened, which i dont think it has as thats why i found this post, theyre more likely to notice and add it? hehehe

I'm also interested in being able to remove features granted by the base class.
