I made a Homebrew race for the Witchers in the Witcher books/video games. It is supposed to be a copy and paste of what Witchers are, only adapted to fit as a playable race in D&D. I in no way mean to claim it as my own, and included an excerpt from the books with the author listed below it in the beginning of the description section. I want to put this on the public Homebrew section but I also don’t want to get banned or anything. I saw other Witcher races that people posted, but I’m not sure if they did something I didn’t or vice versa. Is there anything else I should do to make sure it’s fine to put it in the public Homebrew section?
The short answer is - if you are using content created by someone else (in this case the Witcher intellectual property) then you do not own the copyright for the content and should not publish it.
Whilst our moderator team do their best to deal with blatant copyright issues on published homebrew, we rely on the community to report them to us.
Please, do not publish homebrew that uses content from IP belonging to others.
