I wrote everything i want to do into the description, and tried quite a bunch of things so it would show up in the character sheet. but I could not get it to work yet. The notes in the item builder don't show up in the note columns which would be really neat as well.
I hope I did not completely overlook something obvious!
Hokay, so.... Short answer is you cannot. What you want is impossible. To do this you will need to make two weapons. The problems are:
When Versatile is applied, 1d8 will always become 1d10. There is no way around that, it is the way the versatile rule works. The closest you can get is starting from a Double-Bladed Scimitar which starts with 2d4. Because applying Versatile to that will always make it 2d6 because that is the way the rule works.
You cannot currently add the thrown property to the weapon and set the range correctly. Because of a system limitation the thrown range will always be 5 ft.
They are redesigning the homebrew generator, so eventually it will become possible to make this weapon. However, it may be days or months before then, we have no way of knowing.
That being said, I can get you kinda close. And I can help you to some extent with the language as well.
Weapon (yklwa), artifact (requires attunement by a Spend a short rest getting to know the weapon) You don’t need to write that, just check the “required Attunement” box because everyone already knows that requires a short rest.
I had to read it twice to understand that fully. If I might offer a suggestion to edit this:
This magic weapon has a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls against evil creatures, and a -1 penalty to attack and damage rolls against good creatures.
This weapon at first appears similar to a yklwa. It has a two and a half foot long haft with a pommel on one end and a small, but masterfully crafted handguard on the other. From that handguard protrudes a jagged, two-foot length metal, all that remains of the shattered remnants of a once beautifully crafted blade of finely folded steel that still retains an unnaturally high polish.
When this weapon is being held in one hand, it has the properties of an yklwa. Whenever this weapon is wielded with two hands, a briliant radiance emits from the broken blade forming a magnificent greatsword of pure light, an indication of the mighty weapon it once was. When wielded in this way, this weapon looses the thrown property and gains the heavy property. In addition, the damage die changes to 2d6, and the damage type changes to radiant.
Notes: Versatile (2d6 + {{abilityscore:str}}), +1 vs evil, -1 vs good, Spend a short rest getting to know the weapon, Thrown You don’t need to add those additional notes either.
Now, to make this you will need to start with a regular Yklwa, +1 and follow these steps in order:
Scroll down to where you see modifiers and delete the modifier that’s there. Then you will need to add a total of three two modifiers:
First Modifier:
Modifier—>Weapon Property
Modifier Subtype—>Versatile
SAVE
Second First Modifier:
Modifier—>Weapon Property
Modifier Subtype—>Heavy
Details—> “When wielded two-handed.”
SAVE
Third Second Modifier:
Modifier—>Damage
Modifier Subtype—>Radiant
Dice Count—>2
Die Type—>d6
Details—> “+ Str when wielded two-handed.”
SAVE
Then change the name and description. If you want you can copy/paste what I wrote. Then SAVE!!! This will trigger the system to pick up all of those modifiers you added before, as well as these text changes.
Playtest this one for a few months before publishing it to make sure it works, you do not need to publish things to use them.
After you create the new one, please be nice to everyone else and do what you can to prevent people from getting the old one that does not work correctly. Go to the old one and click “create new version” and then delete everything and for the red fields just put in [OUT OF ORDER] and then re-publish it. That will prevent anyone from getting a piece of homebrew that doesn’t work correctly. Thank you.
Thank you a lot! This was way more help then i was hoping for, and your wording is perfect. I will totally apply your changes and make that weapon.
And I will "out of order" the already published one. Is there no way to actually.. depublish it? I thought i have to publish it to post its link here.
one more thing though, is there a way to add the str bonus to the 2d6 dmg? I can see you can add proficiency but i dont see a way to add any ability score. If not I might just change it to 3d6, this is a slight nerf in higher levels but thats fine! Or maybe not, I have to see how this works out.

Happy to help.
No, you cannot unpublish. Published is permanent. Yes, you need to publish to let others follow the link, but did you notice that I copy/pasted instead? That works in forums.
The “+Str” is assumed just like for any other weapon. To be honest, what I instructed you to build is not technically what you wanted, but it’s as close as your ever gonna get. The best you can do is add “+ Str” to the beginning of the “When wielded two-handed” detail.
I will play around with it for a while. It will work fine on our table because we use printouts anyway, but it would be great to get it correct anyway.
Hello fellow home brewers and gamers!
My party just stumbled upon (warlock patrons and) items that should fit their new level in warlock.
One of those items is this sword: https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/1743678-broken-blade-of-hidden-judgement
I wrote everything i want to do into the description, and tried quite a bunch of things so it would show up in the character sheet. but I could not get it to work yet.

Thanks for any help,
greetings, liquidmasl

Related question, do you know whether it's possible to extend the thrown range of a weapon for a homebrew that already has the thrown property?
It is not currently possible to change the range for any ranged weapons through modifiers.
