Hi, I'm making a weird magic weapon that imposes a -1 on attack rolls made by it and provides +1 to damage, but I can't figure out how to set that in a homebrew item. Once made and equipped on a character, I can customize it for those values, but how do I set them on the item itself?
Huh, well, good to know I guess. It's odd that I can set a modifier of "damage" to be 1 (giving it, and only it, +1 to damage) but if I apply a modifier to "melee weapon attack" it applies it to all weapons the character has equipped.
To be honest, the whole process of making a conventional +1 weapon is a little odd. You give it a "magic" "bonus" of 1 and it applies that to both damage and attack. Feels like another QoL/UX pass is needed there.

That is not possible with the current homebrewer.

Thanks!
I had the same question and the same annoyance.
