I want to make a Battle Fishing Pole. Its a not magical weapon.
Reach 30ft, Dex attack, 2d4 piercing damage. On hit target creature has to make a strength save or be pulled 10 feet toward the attacker.
I don't know if there is a way to make mundane equipment, and I really don't want it to just be a magical version of a whip if I can avoid it. Anyone have any ideas of how I could go about making this?
If I cant within the current system I fully understand that too.

This sounds super cool. What if the fishing pole allowed you to propel yourself toward enemies?? That’s a different idea.
I don’t see why you couldn’t work with your dm to reflavor a polearm to do a lesser die of damage like a d6 or d8 and have the reach adjusted possibly to maybe a max 15 15 or 20ft instead. 30ft is crazy reach. 15ft is achievable through feature reflavors or just bumping the weapon reach however, it keeps it more in line with most melee or features with reach.
