This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Horatio focuses again on Gandalon, commanding him to attack and engage one of the gazers with tooth and tail! Horatio will move for cover from the nearest gazers!
Attack: 16 Damage: 6 + 11 poison damage on a DC 11 con save, halved on success.
Samael isn't able to see the gazers that have hidden under the fallen doors to the south, however runs ready to attack should he see one.
Horatio makes way south as well, moving to cover before instructing Gandalon to strike at the gazers. However, the familiar struggles to make an impact as the gazers use the debris around them to help protect from his strikes.
(OOC - Trinjya, did you have an action or movement?)
Is there some sort of space under the desk? For instance, if I were to run up to the side of the desk opposite the gazers, could I be seen by them from under the desk and see them back?
(OOC - think of a counter at a library. The front side is closed in, the back side where the desk is allows someone to sit. The doors have fallen onto the countertop at the front of the desk. The gazers have hidden to see degree underneath that at the front of the desk.)
Can she reach them with her movement? (Maybe by going over the banister and across those bookshelves? Not sure how hogh up the platforms were.)
If she can, she will strike at the gazer with her rapier, if not, she will dash and duck behind the counter on the opposite site of the gazers readying herself to jump to the other side and stab some flying eyeballs.

(OOC - All good :) I've been busy trying to sort out a move so haven't had a chance to post everyday as well, sorry. The bookcases are only about 10ft high and the east and west wings are only about 15ft above the centre floor (5ft above the top of the bookcases), so it's not a huge drop. You wouldn't quite have enough normal movement to reach the hiding gazers, though you could get to the south west corner of the desk to be able to see them if you wanted to cast/throw something at them (10ft away from them)).
((Nah, I'll do the dash and duck behind the desk. She doesn't have anything to throw and stopping there in the open, shouting insults in there faces or eyballs or whatever just geels a bit silly.))
Trinjya hops over the banister and slides to the cover of the desk. For a moment, you can all hear the squabbling of the two creatures behind the desk. Suddenly, they dart out. Rather than attacking however, they dash up the stairs and out of line of sight (though you can make out where they are as they continue squabbling), but not before Samael manages to unleash his held attack, narrowly injuring one of the gazers.
Suspecting that the gazers are trying to head to the hole and run, Perigord dashes towards it, trying to end with his back pressed up to a wall to avoid being launched into the pit by an eye beam. If he didn't need to take a dash action, he readies an attack on the first gazer he can hit.
"AFTER THEM! DON'T LET THEM ESCAPE!" Samael moves to pursue.
(how far away is samael from where they went to?)
(OOC - you could go north or south, it's pretty similar distances either way to them, but either way a dash wouldn't quite reach them. The northern stairs are closer though. Straight line you're about 35-40ft but you can't see them due to the height difference in the centre and side wings.)

OOC: Where's the nothic?
(OOC - good question, make a perception check for me. And you'd need to dash to get to the hole, however you can finish with your back against the bookcase, facing the hole.)
Trin will follow them. If both went the same direction(otherwise she will follow the one that went up the western platform) Can Trin see them onve she's up the stairs and would she be able to reach them with her movement?
(OOC - hey guys, sorry for the sporadic posting. Been trying to organise a move and everything so been super busy. Moving today so may be out for a couple of days. Just in case you're waiting on me for anything. I'll try to check in where I can to keep things moving though.)
(OOC - Trinjya can see the gazers from the top of the stairs. She could dash to reach them. Horatio was to the north of the room, so I've moved him up the stairs near Samael. Let me know if you want to change that. Perigord ran to the hole and has his back to the bookcase, ready for any gazers to try and make their way down. Samael moved up the stairs and is ready to throw a eldritch blast at the gazers.)
Saves:
Fear (with advantage because halflings are brave): 12
Frost: 18
Oh my, barely pulled off that fear save. yikes.
Perigord runs over to where Trinjya is, although he's still separated by a bookcase and the banister.
"What's the plan? I've got your knife- did you see any others? Should we regroup and attack these together?"
Samael moves towards where the gazers are and will fire an eldritch blast at target nearest him
(ooc: for expediency's sake i move 30 ft in a manner that gives me best LOS on the nearest Gazer)
Attack: 13 Damage: 5

(Sorry for delaying)
Trinjya responds to Perigord.
"Hold on to it for now."
She shouts back and then runs towards the gazers.

(ok then)
Samael moves to the north keeping himself in cover and with another blast ready.
Perception check to spot nothic: 17
Trin will follow them. If both went the same direction(otherwise she will follow the one that went up the western platform) Can Trin see them onve she's up the stairs and would she be able to reach them with her movement?
Horatio will follow Trin in support, holding an eldritch blast to fire at the next gazer who shows itself. (Attack in spoiler if needed)
Attack: 13 Damage: 6

Samael looks at horatio.
"Do you have a spell that can keep them distracted and in place for me to blast them?"
