"Nice hit boy!" Garmus says, giving Raastin a slap on the back. "You, on the other hand"...pointing at Eralynn..."not so much. Back ta our training sessions, lass."
Ecko chirps distraughtly. He rummages around through the chains and books, selecting a few that pique his interest. He wasn't a thief, he promises - just one curious in the nature of the world. He attempts to investigate what animated the chains to attack, fruitlessly sighing in frustration.
"If we've obtained what we're in this room for, I don't want to wait for it to reanimate."
"I thought you did freat Eralynn and I'm sure you'll get them next time" Ysabell said reassuringly to the artist. "But I wonder why Fistandia would create a room like this? Doesn't seem to match the rest of the décor." She commented lightly as she re-slung her scythe onto her back once more, it suddenly larger than it had been moments before.
"And I'm in agreement on that Ecko. Let's continue the search for our missing sage shall we?" And without really waiting for a reply, Ysabell will exit the room and head towards M14.
Raastin's cheeks darken at the praise for his battle antics. He just nods appreciatively and turns to follow Ysabell. "Judging from the man-eating bookcase, I think it best we travel in numbers."

"You, on the other hand"...pointing at Eralynn..."not so much. Back ta our training sessions, lass." Eralynn holds her head down and nods. "I thought you did great Eralynn and I'm sure you'll get them next time"Ysabell said reassuringly to the artist. The bard's confidence returns a bit, and she smiles, but she knows, deep down, she sucks with that blade.
M14 - TROPHY ROOM
Each corner of this pleasant parlor has a scarlet armchair and a reading table piled high with books. A cheery fire burns in the fireplace. A pair of swords sits in a rack above the fireplace, and the heads of various animals are mounted on the walls. There is another singular book on the table, this one has a Y on it's spine. What is up with these particular books?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ecko excitedly enters, chiriping something nonsensical in Gnomish about animated bookcases to himself. His joy dies down as he enters a room seemingly not scientifically nor magically inclined. He remembers Garmus's words and errs on the side of caution when entering the room.
Firstly, he pores through the books lining the reading area, snagging any that are brightly colored or interest him. Secondly, he takes a look at the animal mounts, giving the taxidermy beasts a look of disgust. He then moves towards the mantle, investigating the quality and make of the swords. He clicks his tongue in disapproval. The Hupperdook engineers wouldn't be impressed. Curiosity gets the better of him and he runs a hand over almost anything in the room, half-excited to see something else animate!
Once done, he looks over the book, running a finger over the spine. There were many around. Why? How did they even know the key to the word to escape was even with the books?
Eralynn nodded and scribbled. It might be the word we're looking for to open the portal to escape!
"You never know. The words could represent rooms or numbers to a code to some vault which contains a puzzle to..." Ecko trails off, listing all possible fantastical codes and puzzles he would put in place if he ever learned to create mansions such as these.
Still rattling off ideas, Ecko steps into area M15.
This is an open and airy bedroom. A canopied bed with rich scarlet curtains occupies one corner. A jug and a washbasin stand on top of a chest of drawers, and a fluffy black cat is napping on a scarlet easy chair. One wall is covered with a large painting of a gold dragon perched heroically on a mountaintop. When Ecko enters the room, a cat jumps down from the chair and stretches. It then follows you around the room, mewing at you.
The top drawers of the dresser contain elegant, well-made robes. The lower drawers hold more utilitarian tunics and dresses. A large book with the letter E on its spine is sitting on the chest of drawers.
"Don't be touchin' anything!" Garums yells as he sees everyone start into the next room and follows directly after. When he sees the cat, he smiles but then realizes what he is doing. The smile is replaced with a scowl and he surreptitiously looks around to see if anyone noticed.
Ecko disregards Garum entirely. He jumps excitedly after catching sight of the cat, dropping to his knees and reflecting the cat's sounds back at it. Ecko wonders what the cat is doing here. Had it been fed? Who took care of it? Why was it so cute?
Ecko then spares the rest of the room a glance - E, T, L, Y. Ecko thinks, furrowing his brow. Mages enjoyed feeling smarter than others - perhaps they eventually formed a spell? A component? Ecko snatches the book from the shelf, fully expecting to be attacked by some carnivorous costumes or aggressive attire.
If nothing bad happens, Ecko stops to admire and make some quick sketches of the golden dragon, searching for the usual button-on-painting trick.

"I saw that."Ysabell replied sweetly to Garmus before moving towards the cat and giving it a friendly scratch behind the ears. Eralynn looked at Ysabell, and then back to Garmus, wondering what he did. But then she saw a cat, and also wanted to pet it. It was very friendly!
Garmus eyes Ysabell and replies with a "Hrmphf" and looks around the room. He sees Ecko has another one of the books they need and figures it's time to move on. "Alright, move it along! Let's check out that next room!" Garmus barks at the group heading to M16.
The door from the bedroom leads to a wrought iron balcony lined with slate flagstones. The greenery and colorful flowers of the arboretum are visible below. Other than a spectacular view of purple wavy magic, as if the entire mansion were suspended in an ether, there are no books here. The oppressive miasma seems to press in even closer above the mansion here than at ground level.
Raastin eyes the majestic purple waves, his mind drifting towards thoughts of freedom for some reason. He shakes his head, smirking. "No books here." And turns to head back inside. "We've obviously missed something. We need to retrace our steps."

Eralynn snapped her finger just as Rasstin spoke - and then it clicked with Ecko. That's it! They form a word!
"So, we have to find books with letters and then figure out what word they are supposed to spell?" Garmus asks, stroking his beard thoughtfully.
Eralynn nodded and scribbled. It might be the word we're looking for to open the portal to escape!
Raastin smiles. "Then let's grab some books!"
The rogue begins searching the different rooms they've been in, collecting the books that and trying to Scrabble a word.

T, L, and Y have been found. I'll update the map.
At the moment, you have no idea what it could spell when you line up the spines.
