"Seems so. Perhaps we missed a space on the lower level?" Ysabell replied as she turned back towards the stairs (eventually making it to M3 when she realized the party had missed it earlier)
Ecko follows down below after being mesmerized by the vortex of purple in the previous room. Like a gyroscopic camera, Ecko's beady eyes remain locked on the curtain of purple, swiveling around until he forcefully breaks eye contact with his hands. The old gnomes told Ecko he was too curious for even his own good. Perhaps that was true. He heads down towards area M3.
Garmus watches everyone file out of the room, planning on going last. Once they are out he looks around the room and quietly makes a pspsps sound, calling the cat. "Could never resist the kitties." He says softly as he gives the friendly feline a few scritches and hurries to catch up with the group.
Tall shelves filled with books line the walls of this room. Two more shelves run through the middle of the room with a ten-foot-wide aisle between them. Several stacks of books are piled high throughout the room. There are small reading desks with cozy scarlet chairs in the corners. The books include subjects of arcana, natural science, religion, astrology, and planar travel, as well as volumes of poetry, mythology, and folk tales.
Anyone with a passive perception of 12 or higher:
Notices a book with a large letter R on it's spine. There it is. On the third shelf to the left!
Ecko - without any hesitation whatsoever - swipes a couple of the tomes about the arcane arts, haphazardly shoving them into the large sack slung on his back. A seam rips - he'd overflown it! Dozens of little contraptions and half-finished projects tumble onto the ground. Ecko bends down with an apologetic squeak and wave - it wasn't the first time. He scoops up his mechanical scorpion in a jar, no less than a baker's dozen foiled sonographs that clearly show a gradual increase in progression until Ecko finally perfected the trinket, an immeasurable amount of gears and screws that roll around the floor, and the unfinished body of a mechanical worg, and a slightly undulating, glowing beholder trinket outfitted with glowing celebration lights.
As he bends down to scoop up his possessions, the book catches his eye. "Another one!" he exclaims, abandoning his efforts to triumphantly hold the 'R' book in the air, in doing so letting all his items tumble out of his arms once again. He winces.
"T, L, Y, E, R,"he mouths out, tilting his head. "Maybe a name? Tyler?"
Eralynn's face wrinkles. It was a good attempt, but she didn't think that was it. Then, she saw movement.
One of the piles of books quickly shuffle and merge into a semblance of some sort of book monster!! One of the piles of books is magically animated! Eralynn points, her mouth moves as if she's trying to speak, and backs up against the wall. The magical construct attacks!

Eralynn scribbles on her sketchpad, and turns it around to show you. It says, SHIT! and you feel inspired to kick these books back to the "RETURN BOOKS HERE" shelf in the library.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Garmus enters the room and sees pandemonium. Books, gadgets and parts all over the floor and to top it off, a monster made of books! "What did I say about touchin' stuff! Ya jingle-brained nincompoops!" Garmus hollars as he pulls his axe out.
Slashing her gangly scythe once in the air, a streak of silver-ish radiant flame flew through the air towards their literary target (Or was it targets? She thought to herself unsure if it was an "it" or a "them". She began to ponder that thought as the skirmish raged on.)
DC13 DEX Save or take 3 Radiant Damage
(Edit cause rolls wouldn't show) - DC13 DEX Save or take 4 Radiant Damage
Ecko frantically attempts to salvage any sort of contraption he's been working on - whether he completed it in a previous attempt or not - from being smushed by the walking bookshelf. In a moment of annoyance as his miniature, mechanical beholder has a tentacle snapped off, he lashes out with a dagger.
With that final hit, the books flop and crash to the ground! Eralynn breathes a sigh of relief. Whew! That cat from the previous room shows up, peeking it's head in.
