Accompanying Tempe to Bricklepop's shop, Randall considers what magical items might be appropriate to improve Skrud's chances of being a good king for the goblins...
Each of those items would cost 300 gp for a total of 600 gp to purchase both.

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Randall picks up the two items and, upon his return to the others, describes their use to Skrud. "These items will help you to know what your people are thinking and influence them as needed to follow your lead should any of them become a problem," Randall instructs Skrud.
"Do you know if your armor is ready yet?" he asks the goblin who would be king.

(The shield and 'goblin armor that is mostly decorative' was ready last time, it was just someone's plate mail you were waiting on I think, that will be finished soon.)
"How these help Skrud? How does it work?" The goblins puts on the lenses and holds up the medallion, looking a little comical trying to figure it out. "Skrud really need the crown to be King!" He looks up at you all, "You're still gonna help Skrud get the crown right? King Moocus not be King until he got the crown!"
"Now it will be Skrud's turn!"

"Skrud not know! Moocus was chief before, then went missing for a few days, when he return he have crown and call himself king!"
"That's when he shout at other chiefs a lot and make them march with him!"
Bricklepop ambles over to a shelf near the back of the shop, picking up a ladder that had been placed nearby on his way. He climbs up to the very top, perching rather precariously and digs around behind some items before extracting a ornate headband. He climbs back down and presents the item, it looks like a copper vine with the occasional small silver leaf about every inch or so.
"That one will also cost you 300 gold."

Zenodor ponders this. "Hm. Sounds like the Crown could itself be a magic item. Perhaps one that allows control over others. We should definitely try to silence King Moocus before we approach him, lest he should try to use magic words to command us."
(Luckily Skrud shouldn't be able to betray us even if he gets a magic crown, thanks to the sacred oath thing we did. I presume that's still in-force? Or if not, can we renew it?"
So you all have one more day of downtime (the rest of today) before the custom plate mail will be finished.

Randall spends time with Skrud, helping him get used to his new magic items and learn how to best use them, as well as teaching him to be observant of those around him (teaching insight and perception). He also helps with getting Skrud used to wearing the armor convincingly.

Skrud's enthusiasm knows no bounds. He is an apt pupil as he realizes all this attention means he is getting one step closer to becoming the King of the Goblin Horde.

Once the group feels that we are prepared, and have taught Skrud as much as we can reasonably expect to achieve, Zenodor proposes that they should start making their way to find King Moocus.
"Skrud, where do you think we will be most likely to find Kind Moocus? Ideally we want to get to him in private first, for example finding him in his sleeping quarters or home, rather than on the battlefield. That way we can more easily give him the cursed sweets to silence him, and then to challenge and depose him"
"Skrud not know for sure, but King Moocus usually have tent near one of the black tents!"
Skrud looks a little nervous and scared when mentioning the black tents.

Perhaps Eyes of Charming or Medallion of Thoughts would be useful for Skrud to navigate his new responsibilities.

(So, would a headband of intellect for Skurd be too much? )

(I think that's fine, no? It's not like he's likely to discover more items? He can always change once he has the throne)

(Perfect. But maybe let's renew it just before we leave Skrud to hopefully depart to return home with the Goblin army.)
