Petcan goes to Hyrobel’s Delight, waiting til it’s time to get the mayor to go see Mynash at the Hen on Crutches

Bow will join Petcan for a drink, not much he feels he can do right now. Afterwards they will get Mr Reeves and head towards the Hen on Crutches

“I think that… I did not expect quite so much excitement when I left my mother’s side.” Petcan sighs, staring at his drink. “Not that I was on her apron strings or anything, I’m just… speaking aloud, I suppose.”

"What brought you to the village where this all started?"

“Just wandering I suppose. My mother had been a musician, and I’d been happy enough doing the same, I suppose. But… I think I needed something more? She was encouraging. Made sure I was ready. We parted ways, with some promises to meet again, soon. But I don’t think either of us expected this.”

”I’m sorry, I’m being rude. Why did you come to that village?”

"No problem, I wasn't there for any specific reason. Just finished a job to get rid of some evil and the village and the tavern were the closest to stay for the night, and to start looking for a new job."

“Oh that’s what you do? Get rid of evil professionally? Wonder what that sort of occupation is called… I’ve sung a few songs about such. Actually, I was saved as a baby by such folks. Paladins.”

(I do not have the means to make the hooks myself. I was hoping I would be able to find a smithy in town?)

(ok, sweet. I'll take the hooks and the carapace to a smithy and get them worked on while we wait to meet the mayor.)

Randall:

Accompanying Ceo and helping carry the Hook Horror shells and hooks, Randall says, “Yes, Kronok I presume?  My friend and I have some raw materials we would like to have made into useful items.  Some kind of matched swords, wasn’t it, Ceo?”

“Yes, Tiger swords, please.”

“Erm, well, they look like this, only sharper and with a hilt.” Ceo says, holding out the hooks.

One of the barmaids stops at your table and asks if there's anything else she can get you. Several people leave. Petcan scratches his chin and shrugs. “I have enough money to lose a gold piece and not starve, yet.” 

He gets up to go join the game, putting down a gold piece. “Doubles?”

Petcan makes a great show with the dice, calling on the divine in a sing-song nonsense rhyme he makes up on the spot.

“Double, doubles! Gods of luck! Help me roll well! Please don’t suck!”
