Grim considers the Ettin's words and actions, he searches the body and the immediate area attempting to get some sort of insight into the creature and it's possible motives and possibly understand why it was so easy to kill.
You think it may have been tougher than it seemed but just too stupid and slow to deal with all of you. Since it was alone you think it may not be connected to the 'Goblin Horde' (especially since it went last and we never got to it's turn. lol)
It has nothing but the 2 over-sized crude weapons.
The bridge is wooden but solid with thick beams. It spans some 120 feet across the river to the other side.

If the others are amenable, he rides across the bridge to scout out the other side.

It is just over a day's travel so the 'Refugees of Garrum' will have to camp one more time before reaching the city just after midday.
The other end of the bridge leads further over the land before connecting, beneath this area is a footpath that leads under the bridge on this side of the river.
Unless you don't want them to cross the bridge the refugees will begin crossing. (remember there are around 900, it will take some time to get them all across if they start right now, if they start later it will take later to finish crossing.)

Half the refugees are across when you spot another goblin horde approaching from the distant South. It looks like the 2 goblin hordes are planning to merge together before they reach the city of Laurentiis.
Those refugees who can swim, begin to swim across the river and leave the old and the feeble, the young and the disabled to cross by bridge.

As he hurries the refugees across the bridge, Randall asks of everyone, “Any oil or pitch or anything flammable you have, leave it at the middle of the bridge as you cross. We will buy you as much time as we can with steel and fire. Pass it on!”
Looking at the swimming refugees with concern, Randall says to his companions, “if we take down the bridge too early, the goblins will just swim across. We should lure a sizable portion of their force onto the bridge and engage them for as long as we can, then set it on fire as we retreat. Hopefully that will delay them the most.”
OOC: How wide is the bridge (how many people or goblins across can fit? I am thinking retreating along the bridge while attacking from a distance, then lighting up the flammables in the middle once we can’t slow then down anymore.

“You’ll need goblin arrows for that to work.” Petcan will set up for a fighting retreat across the bridge at the back of the refugee pack.
(I figure Petcan has a LOT of fire spells, including fire bolt, control fire, burning hands, scorching ray, and Gust if he really gets it going. We could light the bridge at the bottom, and maybe the first few goblins won’t even notice)
