Emporious is pulled from his pondering by Isa's exlamation. Looking into the room his eyes widen a bit at the sight of all the books. "Excellent, excellent!" He exclaims. His mood lightening now that he is in his prefered element. Starting in the corner immediately to the left of the door he will start to go through the books and continue clockwise around the room. Keeping an eye out for any tomes referencing spells as well as extra dimensional spaces.
There are three paintings hanging on the walls: a landscape scene with a large green dragon emerging from a grove of pine trees, a study of a pegasus in flight, and a portrait of a unicorn in a wooded glade. Almost all the books in this study were written by someone named Fistandia. Most are her memoirs. Fistandia was a powerful mage as well as a priest of Mystra. She frequented Candlekeep to further her studies. In exchange for Fistandia’s pious service and achievements in expanding the arts of magic, Mystra granted Fistandia a permanent extradimensional mansion for her to reside in when studying in Candlekeep. Fearful that a guest might become trapped in the mansion, Fistandia hid the command word to open the portal to Candlekeep on the spines of seven books in her mansion.
"Of course!"Matreous blurts out at the revelation.
Mavshoon looks at the riveting tale he is reading to see if the spine has any clues.
"This book holds a fascinating tale of this Fistandia's search for an artifact called the Arc of the Covenant, which sounds like quite a powerful artifact."
"At least the command word is here.... somewhere, we just need to find it." Isa starts looking at each of the books and spines on the bookshelves on the far wall - trying to see if any of these book spines stands out a bit as being different.

"OH!" she blushes a bit as she pulls out a book - The Joys of Inter-Dimensional Sex - anyone looking her way can see her face turning a bit red. 'Hino would probably enjoy this one a bit too much' she thinks to herself as she slides the book back into the shelf. A bit flustered by the book, she fumbles around a bit while investigating.
Hm.. Barbär ponders for a moment as a suspicion washes over him of the possible solution. Is this a riddle? Ah what am i saying, most magic is a riddle.
So, what do all book spines have? If it is a riddle my guess would be "binding".
"Lets put the book search aside for a bit and simply go tour this house. Perhaps there are clues such as common themes about the mansion that will indicate what type of books to look for. For example there is a picture of a Pegasus in here. If there is an abundance of Pegasus art in the mansion perhaps we're looking for books that are about Pegasus. My point being we need to narrow our search in some way because as of now we're just being to random. I'm saying that I feel like to find the command word that will let us pass back, A password if you will, to our own dimension is to get to know the creator of the word." offers Emporious and he steps back out into the hall.
Orvok looks around the room for anything out of place, with the benefit of Detect Magic, which is still up and running...
You notice two things out of place. There is a book on one of the chairs that has the letter "I" on it's spine, and nothing more. Then, there is a secret door behind the left bookcase on the far wall.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Oh good. It does seem to be a real cat. I enjoy having a cat around. They are quite keen on senses. If this cat does linger here, things may not be all so bad.
He gives a warm smile peeking from his helm and removes a gauntlet to pet the cat, and further investigate it, feeling its back as he pets it to see if it seems to be underfed at all. Investigation: 5
Isa nods her head a bit as she listens to Emporious's logic. "That does make sense." she mumbles. "Although, I thought it might be something more like a book without any words on the spine or maybe even a specific color for the wording... who knows."

"Sure it could be either of those things." Emporious says through the doorway from the hall. "But perhaps there are clues as to which color. We won't know till we look. Does anybody have any other ideas?"
Orvok reaches over to the book with just ‘I’ on the cover and pulls it out. ‘Here’s one letter...’ he gives Matreus a scathing look and shakes his head. ‘Two days...’ you hear him grumble, before he goes over to the secret door and opens it... ‘Let’s see what’s through here...’
"Oh HO! What do you have there Orvok? A secret door? I love a good secret door...." and Mav will stand up, tuck the book he was reading under his arm and follow the dwarf.

"No, but it looks like the spines of certain books here might provide us with a command word that's not "SEXPERT". he admits, looking at the camera.

Lets not ignore the cat here...
Barbär looks the cat over, without getting too close, to see if the cat is approachable, and tangible. Perc: 9
The cat is approachable. It looks at you curiously and acts just like a regular cat. It meows.
