Candlekeep Mysteries Group 2

Actually it did smell quit nice. They really know the kitchen well, those two. 

Hmm.. Gold dragon... Large bed.. He mumbles oh no, Hino? I need you to go against your instinct and dont hop on the bed. Could be occupied with something unseen

M14: Hino checked out the swords hanging on the wall (Perception: 18).  Do they look like anything special, worthy of borrowing?

M15: Purring with excitement, Hino responds to Barbär‘s comment about the bed with “Aye!  This mansion definitely looks like a place I’ll rent out to service clients! Plenty of entertainment facilities already set up.”

She’ll then proceed to pace around the room, imagining where she’ll mount the various implements that she often uses when entertaining. Swings and such.

The swords look pretty, but that's up to you.

Even though they're technically in a pocket dimension outside of Candlekeep, Hino suddenly remembers the Orders of Accordance and their rule about no stealing.  Afraid of being banished from her exclusive source of income, she forgets about borrowing the swords and moves on to M15.

"Is that the cat from before? Asks Emporious. "We probably should keep a closer eye on this one." He says as He looks over the room for books or anything that might gie them answers to their 2 biggest problems. What's still in here if anything and the curse of Altus. Oh and of course any scrolls or spells.

Perception: 7

Isa moves into the room cautiously "Hmmm, appears to be the bedroom.... yeah, I know.... thank you captain obvious".  She goes over towards the chest of drawers and pokes it with her staff just to be on the safe side... with all these crazy book creatures you never know if a chest of drawers will try to attack you she thinks.  If it actually sounds and feels like a chest of drawers, she will proceed to investigate and go through them.

And more things of inconsequence. And a cat.

Seeing as the chest drawers just appear to be an actual chest of drawers, Isa grabs the top one top open it up.... she thinks to herself 'this thing may be a bit hard to open... must pull a bit harder'.  She ends up yanking the drawer completely out, spilling any contents all over the floor and dropping the drawer itself with a loud crash!  Sheepishly she looks up at the others "What the?!?" she stutters "I'm suck an idiot!"  She quickly kneels down and puts all the contents quickly back into the drawer and attempts to put it back in place with no real success.  "Screw it!" she mutters as she just places it back on top.

A book with the letter E on its spine falls out of the drawer as you pull it out.

Having watched the portal close, Orvok joins the rest of the group, following Barbär’s clanking..

Harbouring a suspicion, Orvok takes a careful look at the cat...

Nature / Investigation: 7

It's just a cat. What's wrong with you guys.

Isa nearly misses the E puzzle book as she tries to cover up her obvious blunder with the chest of drawers.  After putting everything else back in the drawer and frustratingly setting it on top instead of putting the drawer back in, she leans down and picks up the puzzle book.  She take a quick look at it and then holds it up with a silly grin on her face "I, um... found the letter E" she says sheepishly.

Mav gently pokes the cat with his cane and Ozomun makes the sound of a blade repeatedly inserting in to wet meat.

"Can we finally get back to the keep?  Or perhaps Emporious thinks there is a cure for his village in the soup next."

Trust me. I dont think the soup has anything other than soup in it. Or really all those humonculi have nothing but food

"I think this is about our last room" Isa heads over to the far door in the bedroom and opens it - expecting to see some kind of balcony.

"Of course I don't" mutters Emporious shaking his head,"That's absurd." A bit under his breath he scoffs, "Everyone knows soup doesn't dispell curses." In his regular voice he asks Isa, "What do you see?"

The door from the bedroom leads to a wrought iron balcony lined with slate flagstones. The greenery and colorful flowers of the arboretum are visible below. The oppressive miasma seems to press in even closer above the mansion here than at ground level.

"Ewwww, gross" Hino exclaims upon seeing the swirling miasma outside.  "Reminds me of being inside a hookah lounge...and those dudes don't pay well.  This Fistandia chick must be some kinda crazy party girl!"

Turning on her heals, she'll march right back into the bedroom, and rifle through the drawers, hopefully finding some frilly underthings in Fistandia's dresser.  All while keeping a leery eye on the "cat".  Finally resigning herself to how cute the darn thing is, she'll gently walk over, and attempt to pet the furball (Animal Handling: 14).

"Just a balcony overlooking the arboretum below." she replies to Emporious.  "Doesn't look like much else for clues here, we may need to go back through the portal and re-search his room to see if we can find anything.... or even ask some of the Avowed if they know anything."  She closes the door and starts heading back downstairs.  "Oh my gosh, that smells so good!  I may need to stop and get some of that soup before we go back through the portal."

"What about those giggles we heard from down below? Did you see any more evidence of what was making the noise?" Inquires Emporious.
