The globe appears to be a simple globe of the planet. You recognize the continents as they spin around and notice that some of them appear to be lit up on one side with tiny blinking lights.

As Lari goes to examine the barriers a voice calls out to him.

"Ssstay away from that flesshly one. The barrier will not open until thiss one ssays it doesss." It hisses. Following the sound, the group spot a person's head peeking over the bookcases above Lari.

Byg’wigg’s ears twitch and he returns in a literal bark of Draconic, “Speak thy name voice, who do you claim to be? For I am the long-awaited king of the material world, Byg’wigg. Display thy presence before me, that I may lay mine eyes upon thee, and with it, my favor.” But of course, only those that speak Draconic hear that message.

There is a shift above you all. The head disappears and suddenly loud laughter is heard.

"An ember-hiss. Oh. How lovely!"

Then the head reappears moves down closer, a long black and white serpentine body follows it. It slithers down the ground,  slowly filling the room with its large black body, the tail wrapped up strangely, coiled around something as if to either protect or trap. A closer look reveals this creature has no arms.

A wide fanged smile fills this woman's face, long white hair clings to her face while her thin, unseeing eyes gaze vaguely in the direction of the group.

"Ssspeak again little ember-hiss. Let thisss one hear the voice of a people it hasss nearly forgotten."

Byg’wigg’s eyes twinkle as he gives a short bow and continues, “My Lady, ‘tis you. I thank you. You honor me with thy gift. For truly, without you, I would not have such an opportunity to establish my dominion. When my kingdom comes, thy name shall be sung among the nations, and recorded in thousands upon thousands of poems. You have my eternal favor.” Byg’wigg returns to Common, “Servants, be meeting Snake Lady. She is wisely and call Byg’wigg here, like Aries be doing with Ivellios.”

Ivellios bows deeply and also speaks in Draconic not looking at her "I am also honored to meet you Lady Pyscala, I am Ivellios Claywood one of Lady Aurora's newest champions. I hope to be of great service to you and the others."

Lari raises his hand to about shoulder level and waggles four fingers, pinky to index, in a wave. "Hello. Urso brought me here to work for Aurora as well. I'm called Lari." He gives a closed mouth smile by raising his cheeks. The smile doesn't reach his eyes.

Sightless eyes stare blanky into the distance and the creature smiles.

"Ahh. Ssso lovely it isss to hear the ember-hiss again. Sssuch a young one to, but sstrong enough to have made it too thiss oness room. Blessings on you young one."

A long tongue flickers out, tasting the air and she moves, curling a path around Ivellios and then toward Lari. Byg'wygg as she passes you can see that the thing wrapped up in her tail is the body of one of the cultist, their skin pale and veins a dark purple color.

"Yesss I ssmell the Lady'ss touch upon you. Welcome new brother, may the starss guide you and the moon grant you ssshelter in its eternal embrace."

"Little bearss scent is heavy on you magic user. How iss the little bear? Thiss one hass not been visited in ssuch a long time thiss one fearss he hass forgotten her. And what of the Mother ass well. Never came to retrieve the bookss she wanted."

OOC: Funny thing is that Byg’wigg is the oldest one out of the three of us haha. He’s like 40

Byg’wigg sighs, “My Lady, I fear that the young bear’s matron has passed. It was her power that bound Dazzles here. He is gone now as well. Might you be able to assist us in destroying these cultists?”

Byg’wigg turns to the rest of the group in Common, “What yous think? You be thinking that the dreamses and cultistses be relateds?”

"Dead. No The Mother can not be dead. She isss too sstrong. I sssmell her magicss on this one." She moves over to Quintoc, her face is disturbingly close to his as her tongue flicks out to taste the air once more.

"Yesss. You smell of broken heartss and lost matess. Sorrow and anguish. Everything The Mother would dream of. Thiss one doess not know what a Dazzle isss but it iss not The Mothersss."

She pauses before turning back to the direction of Byg'wygg.

"How did the young one ssay the Mother wass killed?"

Byg’wigg is surprised, and thinks for a moment, “Well... you see, I assumed. We could not locate her, then when Dazzle vanished, I assumed the worst. Does this mean that Dazzle was tied to the Bull Man?”

In Common, “Byg’wigg believe we might be off in guesses. Lari, you be needing to proof check theories better.”

"I haven't the foggiest notion what you're talking about. I don't understand that barking, hissing thing you're doing, Byg'wigg."

Lari opens his spell book and flips to the page with comprehend languages on it. "Give me ten minutes."

“Oh, yes, Urso mother might be living, but Dazzle still gone, so maybe Bull Man be dead. Really, after getting sucked in book, Byg’wigg not sure how this place really work.”

"If she's still alive that is good news, how close are the rest of the Invaders? We dealt with a pretty small group one got away." As Ivellios said this he will look at the body to see if it resembls the one that escaped.

OOC: Since it’s been a while, remind me. Do we know the identities of each guardian and which pillar they correspond to? We know Urso is the child bear. Did we determine if Aries is the man bear or the man bull?

OOC: The pillars were.

The woman lets out a hmm, and her tail slowly begins to squeeze around the cultist in her grasp. You here a gasp and looking over, you realize that the cultist isn't dead yet, barely holding on to the last bits of life he has.

"Perhapss you confusse our abilitiess. It iss not our individual magics that bindss you little onesss here but the Realm'ss own natural magicss. We ssimply chose our favoritess. If you lossst one it meanss they were ssimply not worthy of our giftss."

She turns in the direction of Lari's voice.

"Thiss oness room is simply infesssted with the intruderss. The wallss are meant to confussse and weaken so they have been eassy prey. Keep drawing their symbolss on the walls. Want to ssummon something dangerousss. Sstop them sso far, but will not know how much longer thiss one can continue. A few have made it into the Hall of Tricksss as well. Can not watch over both. Cow man wass supposed to keep vigil but ran off to chase the intruders pack leader."

Retaining his regal posture, Byg’wigg strokes his chin-beard, “I see. It seems that my initial assumptions were incorrect then. Perhaps we can assist you, my lady. Allow us to clear this hall of tricks for you. Would that allow you to defend this place?”

"Yesss. Young one iss so ssmart. That would make this so much eassier and give thiss one much more time to play with these pestss." She coos at Byg'wygg.

"Thiss one shall take you to the entrance of the Hallsss or if they prefer, they could be the oness to clear out thiss oness home and in return thiss one shall deal with the Hallss."

OOC; Pyscala is giving you a choice: Deal with the cultist in the Hall of Tricks so she can remain in the Library, or clear out the Library while she goes forward and deals with the Halls.

The choice is yours and yours alone.

OOC: I feel like Pyscala has the home turf advantage in the library. I vote Halls, plus it sounds fun.

Lari looks up from his book and asks distractedly, "What are they trying to summon?" (OOC: assuming she wasn't speaking draconic and Lari can concentrate on his ritual and the conversation at the same time.)

Quintoc doesn't speak draconic, but if asked he will opt for the Hall of Tricks. It sounds dangerous, but what isn't?
