This room appears to be a torture chamber. Old blood stains the floor where bones of humanoid limbs and fingers are scattered. Four human skeletons are stacked in one corner of the room and malevolent torture devices line the west wall. A tunnel leads into the darkness.
Arora has a bit of a scowl on her face as she sees the torture room filled with blood stains and discarded body parts "Disgusting"she mutters "Nothing here but the echoing screams of innocent lives being taken needlessly.... let's find these bastards!"she goes to hide in the shadows as her and Daewen take their usual spot and start leading the group into the dark tunnel.

Keeping to the back, Mock continues humming as they traipse downward into the keep. Her fingers had twitched towards the weapons stored upstairs, but, no, she's just fine with what she's got. Her axe has yet to steer her wrong yet, after all. So she'd shoved her hands into her pockets and followed after the others.
Another drow hold, another torture chamber. Pretty par for the course, Mock thinks as she picks her way across the room. She's made a bit of a game around it, trying to maneuver around the bloodstains without touching them. It might look a bit ridiculous to the others, but, well, Mock's pretty used to looking ridiculous. There's no room for embarrassment in her head. There is, however, a dark tunnel across the room, and boy is it calling her name. A broad grin on her face, she follows the others without question.
A speaker of Undercommon, Zhi has an unusually approving look on his face as he reads the scripts. Fitting, too. He's muttering something incomprehensible about 'Snakes' and 'Supremacy'. Perhaps these drow were reasonable.
The horrifying visage of gore and torture matters little to Zhisshikassa, who wanders in with little hesitation. "This reminds me of the Orzhov," he hisses. "I spent much time in similar chambers. These instruments are of rather poor make and are quite inefficient," he coldly comments to the torture devices. It's clear he wasn't the one being tortured when he commented about spending time in similar rooms.
He takes a moment to bend down, dip a claw in some spare blood, run his forked tongue over to test the freshness, and fills a vial with the blood (components for demon-summoning spells, clearly (requires the blood of dead people)). As if that's normal, Zhi rises and calmly follows the rest.
Raza looks over the torture chamber, pausing for a moment. "Yes, it's a very sad place, so many souls pulled before their time." She answers, looking to the side. She continues on, watching Mock skip around the blood stains, following her and the others to the tunnel.
A man-made hole in the east wall, built to dump waste from the torture chamber, is just big enough to squeeze through. There is a pile of bricks next to it, as if someone intended to close off this gap at some point in the near future. Cold air drifts into the room through the entrance to the Underworld.
WARNING: DANGER
A narrow stone slope leads down into the darkness, and then along the side of a deep ravine. It is about 10 feet wide with a steep drop on either side. This is the only way into the Underdark unless you can fly down. You must pass a DC16 Acrobatics check (or use magic) to carefully walk it along the rock wall to the bottom. Otherwise, a character that falls off the edge down to the bottom will take MASSIVE damage falling damage. A character who fails the first roll must succeed on a DC 16 Dexterity (Acrobatics) check to grasp the edge of the slope at the last possible moment. IF YOU FAIL BOTH ROLLS YOU WILL FALL AND TAKE 20d6 DAMAGE. NO EXCEPTIONS. This is a moment in the adventure I will not bend if you fail twice and die so WORK TOGETHER AND HELP EACH OTHER.
Zhi hisses another sigh as he sees the - well, rather, doesn't see - the floor far, far, down beneath the chasm. He crosses his arms and snarls - "Very well. We help each other. This is not a question," he rasps. He would need to use his sole mote of positive fate to twist the scales in favor of whoever needs it most. "I will manipulate fate slightly in your favor," he speaks, smearing some blood in his hands and rasping an incantation on every single one in the party-
Everyone can add a 1d4 to their rolls via guidance. Zhi is not electing to go first.
Arora goes to her pack to make sure she has some of the needed gear “I have 10 pitons and 50’ of rope as well. I can go first if needed but who is the most athletic in our group?”

While Arora and Neph has a 'who’s more nimble' battle, Daewen (invisible in the under dark) taps on Mock's shoulder and hands her one end of her 50 foot rope, and pantomimes instructions to have her to tie it off on herself, as she's tied one end around her own waist. She then waits patiently for Arora/Neph to free climb out and lay down the series of pitons and rope for them to use. Once the rope is set, she and Mock will hike down the rock wall to the bottom (tied together such that if one of them slips and falls, the other can break their fall by pulling on the rope).
Nephvir starts the process. He ties together rope, more than long enough to cross the gap. He gives one end to the crew to secure, by holding and/or piton. He breaks out his pitons and puts on his chest in his pocket and has his small hammer ready. Periodically he will be putting in a new piton and connecting the rope, to give additional hand holds and help to the others to cross. He moves slowly and carefully, with the guidance from Doc.
Acrobatics : 26 plus guidance : 3
Neph tumbles forward and ends with a flourish at the other side. He pounds a piton in on the other side and ties the rope to it, hold on to it for good measure and tells the others to make their way across, holding onto the rope.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Arora watches Neph, her heart pounding as he makes his way down. Taking careful note as she watches him. “OK, here I go” she mumbles. She grabs the rope and start her way.

Well, thank the gods she's not afraid of heights. Mock follows Daewen's gestures well enough, tying the rope of around herself and trying her very best to scamper down just as carefully.
Daewen grits her teeth as she pulls back the weight of Mock who slipped while attempting to cross the chasm...and successfully hold her up on top preventing her from falling to her certain death.
Neph and Arora help Daewen to hold the rope. Neph straining, beads of sweat popping out on his bald head, says “Come on Mock!”
Neph gives a look and silent nod to Doc, but he also casts a look at Zhi, seeking his approval. He has an odd relationship with Zhi. The stronger he berates him, the more he seeks his approval.
