Raza's tail whips back and forth in nervousness as she watches the others cross the perilous path. She gasps when Mock slips, her tail freezing in place as she watches the others try to help her. She plans on going last, making sure Zhi and Doc gets across in case anything comes at them from behind.
Doc who had been conferring with Miah about the contents of the letter as they moved through the keep and began crossing over the chasm, was startled into focus as he heard Mock slip. Rushing over to where she was, he shot a mote of luck at her and worryingly waited to see what would happen next.
Zhi watches with selfish concern as the others venture forth. He reluctantly abides to the suggested course of action with the pitons and ropes - not without grumbling obviously - and prepares to cross. All is going well until Mock begins to slip - Zhi unleashes a curling sign and mutters a quick incantation. A flash of green light opens a Demiplane attached to a magically suspended rope positioned where Mock can reach it. “Use that,” suggests - well, more of ‘commands’, but Zgi has lost the more commanding aura around him with his own fear for the situation.
Nobody here knew Zhi was afraid of heights. He would rather die than admit he was scared of something. In fact, it might actually happen.
With Mock secure with the rope trick, Zhi tentatively heads out, determined to prove he could do this.
Acrobatics - 18 + 2
Much more graceful than the last time Zhi crossed something (Zhi is praying to the Orzhov nobody remembers the river incident), Zhi successfully navigates downwards towards most of the party waiting below.
Nephvir looks to grab Mock if anywhere close to the edge to help cover the last distance to make it to the other side. He quickly ties off a length of rope and ties it around his waist, securing a line.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
With Mock secure (I think), Doc took a deep breath and released the rope (not that he was doing much to help if he was being honest with himself). Nevertheless, with only himself and Raza left, he gave her a nod before praying to whatever being gave him his abilities (and as a result forced him in this situation), before making his way down the slope towards the others.
Raza lets out a sigh of relief and her tail stops it's restless movement as everyone is across and unhurt. After checking that there is nothing coming up behind them she holds onto the rope and starts to descend, thankful for Doc's helping spell. She feels her foot start to slip on a loose stone but iss able to regain her balance with the rope. She continues on, making it down safely, relieved when she finally gets to the bottom.
Arora breaths a sigh of relief as everyone makes it down successfully. “You all ready? We should keep moving.” She moves off hiding in the shadows as the group starts moving along again.
All of you manage to descend the slope down to the floor of the ravine. There is a lot of refuse here along the bottom - a mish mash of broken bones, rotted material, odd pieces of stone and metal and the occasional lump of putrefying flesh or gristle. Miah knows the way, and begins leading you all north down the clear path of the ravine. You can already feel the drafts and chill of the Underworld.
It was about three hours into our dark journey, a skittering sound, of bone of claw, of carapace or chitinous exoskeleton, plays across your awareness and filters into your brain, at once audible and then gone. You flash a glance in the direction of the movement, but nothing is there - if anything - it's even quieter than before. But almost immediately, the same sight and sound comes from behind you, then off to one side. It's clear you are being stalked. More shadows streak across your line of sight, but you can barely register anything.
"We are being watched. We must hurry. Come." Miah whispers.
Halfway to Embla, we encountered a great sight, coming up to this event from behind. A dwarven caravan was being attacked by Drow raiders. The dwarven caravan consists of three enormous slow moving shell backed armored dinosaurs. Two of the three dinos are fully laden with trade goods. There are 15 drow enemies, led by a cleric, which are attacking the trade caravan, mounted on what look like large velociraptors. There are 13 dwarven traders total on the backs of three dino turtles. They appear to be losing this battle.
While they are at a distance from the battle, Neph pulls out his long bow. He turns to the others, "Before we rush in, perhaps the dwarves could use some help from a distance, with bows. That will get the Drow's attention!" He nocks an arrow and looks at the others to see if they agree with the plan before shooting.

Traveling through the darkness of the Underdark, Doc kept his eyes on a swivel. Having been gifted "new" eyes by his patron, he could see clearly in the dark (Devil Sight) and even see faint traces of magic all around him (Eldritch Sight); things he never would've been able to do before. He wondered to himself if this was similar to what Zhi saw whenever he used his magic to see the future. He'd have to ask him about it once the mission was complete (assuming they survived of course)
At the sounds of the creature following them, Doc moved towards Miah and asked, "Do you know what those creatures are? And how concerned should we be about them...?"

"I agree. It could also help draw some of them away from the caravan too." Doc replied to Neph with a nod.
That's all Arora needed to hear, an 'I agree' from Doc on firing a few shots at them. She casts Hunter's Mark and quickly knocks an arrow and draws her bow, taking careful aim at one of the drow and she fires off a set of shots. "We might as well take a few out from here first."

Alright, she might start re-considering a fear of heights if things keep turning out like that. The split second of free-fall before she managed to grab ahold of a magically appearing rope - nope, Mock's just not gonna think about it anymore. Once her feet are back on solid ground, she gives a grateful squeeze to Zhi's shoulder, a hearty pat to Doc's, and a hair ruffle to Daewen before following the others yet again.
She hates the feeling of something stalking them. Hates it. So she hovers closer to her party, one hand reaching back and tapping the handle of her axe every few moments. Her usual grin slipping into more and more of a snarl the longer they're followed.
Coming up on the sounds of a fight, Mock perks up, her tail flicking back and forth excitedly. Yes, please, let's let her work out some of this tension by killing drow. But as the others mention long-range aid, she wrinkles her nose. Well, she's of no use here yet. She'll wait until the fight starts; she can be a little patient, she guesses. She slings her axe around into her hands and lets out a deep breath. Thank the gods there's something to fight now. She's been getting a little itchy the further down they go.
