With the Drow on the ropes - and no one in the party in immediate danger of death - Doc turned towards the Drow5 and rained holy fire upon them.
DC15 DEX Save or take 11 + 4 = 15 Radiant damage (The +4 comes from his new Radiant Soul feature that allows Doc to add his CHA mod to fire & radiant attacks!)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Mock spins around and attacks one of the last standing drow now. "Stop. Hitting. My. Friends," she snarls, punctuating her words with a swing of her axe.
An incredibly unhappy Zhi spits a glob of venom towards the remaining Drow as his spirit guardians coalesce over the poor creature like piranhas to an animal.
DC 16 Wisdom save for 16 Necrotic, half on success.
Action - Poison Spray! DC16 Constitution for 7 Poison damage.
Seeing the final drow fall, Daewen quickly runs over to the slain leader of the attacking clan, and drags its body out into the open. She wants to be there where the soul leaves its body, and heads on its way to see the Raven Queen for judgement. She wants to spit on the body, to desecrate it and punish it for a lifetime of evil. But mostly, she wants Zhi to do his thing, gathering intelligence that would likewise be fruitful for their mission.
K'Chouk and her team have been slain in a battle that lasted nearly a minute or two. Only you all, Miah, and Maylorin are alive - having been able to shrug off the effects of the poison. The rest of the Merchant Circle has been killed, and Maylorin appears mortally wounded. Miah is about to rush the Mayor to a temple for healing before Miah thinks of something. He runs to a box and opens it - revealing a very fancy and magical dagger made of adamantine. It's a +1 dagger named Stonetooth.
"Take this as a thanks. I'm going to take Maylorin to the temple to get him healed. This part of the journey will be the most dangerous for you all. You must infiltrate Holoth and bring down House Gullion. I fear if we waste anymore time, these attacks will continue and soon none of us, or the leadership, will be left! It is time to turn the tables."
This accursed insignia, this bane of the lives of all who live in Embla, is the symbol of House---"
Zhi spits a few drops of blood mingled with venom to the ground before striding forward and kneeling down towards the speaker, clutching the dead man's neck with one hand as wisps of arcane, blue energy gather around Zhi's mouth. In a ghostly, harsh, voice, Zhi begins talking with the dead. Zhi remembers the first time he did that during a mission. Everyone was unsettled. Zhi enjoyed that feeling.
Zhi's casting speak with dead on the one who was assassinated, requesting: "Which House is the house you meant to speak before you were killed? Is there anything else we should know of the Drow, their ranks, their abilities, their tactics, or their defenses we should know about? Can you give your dying will to the town in order to provide us with other equipment or supplies in this journey?"
Once Zhi's ghostly, rasping voice requests the information he wants, Zhi removes a special bottle ritually engraved with the symbols of the Orzhov. He gathers the blood of the drow and their leader, and - after taking a sip - decides it's time to pull out drastic measures. Oh yeah, it's demon-summoning time. Zhi feels something dangerously close to excitement.

Doc spent few minutes verifying the deaths of each member of the Merchant circle before returning to face Miah. "I know you want revenge for all the pain and deaths that they've caused, but rushing towards their stronghold unprepared is the quickest way to get us and the entire city killed. At the very least we'll need a day or two to recover and strategize before heading off. If there are any supplies you can give us or extra troops from the city who can join us, it would make our task much easier..." Sighing, he rubbed his head at the situation he found himself in before adding, "Neph, the dagger will be best used in your hands, use it well. And Zhi, have you managed to speak with their commander yet? We could use all the information we can get..."
(Would we be able to get mundane items in the city? Like upgraded armor or healing kits etc.?)
Which House is the house you meant to speak before you were killed? Gullion. Is there anything else we should know of the Drow, their ranks, their abilities, their tactics, or their defenses we should know about? All of Embla who have approached the city were killed. Can you give your dying will to the town in order to provide us with other equipment or supplies in this journey? We already have so little, but will give what we can.
As Zhi starts to cast his spell, Mock plops down on the ground a small distance from him and ends up scooting a little closer. She doesn't ask any questions; she's long since learned that he doesn't necessarily like people speaking to him while he's working. But that doesn't mean she can't watch. Magic is freaking cool, okay? So she sits on the ground amidst the bodies and the blood and watches curiously, her tail flicking back and forth with excitement.
Daewen too sits down next to Mock and watches Zhi work his magic, in awe. It's rare for mortals to be able to talk to a departed soul (a common, every-day experience for residents of the Shadow Fell), and Zhi really gets into it with vigor, providing a mild form of amusement for Daewen.
