Any creature other than a catoblepas that starts its turn within 10 feet of the catoblepas must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned until the start of the creature’s next turn. On a successful saving throw, the creature is immune to the stench of any catoblepas for 1 hour

Zenga will follow behind Xap (to F9 I guess) and attack the same catoblepas using his pact tactic and the closeness of his ally for advantage on his attacks. Zenga will flash out with his short sword twice before following that up with a flurry of blows...

Ravocrath Sends a ball of fire bursting to hit both of the abominations. Both of them are burned badly, with #2 going down, no longer a threat.
Larry and Karen's actions now please. There is just the one abomination left, so not going to update the map. Please make sure the two targeted by death rays do their saves, as there might be two less of you going into next round...
The enemy is nearest to Karen and Larry right now, about 15 feet from each.
Karen misses the abomination. Larry though manages to grab the putrid flesh and cause it to screech as it's form turns grayish. It wobbles but remains standing.
Cora and Xap are now up. Still need the death save from Cora.
Honestly did not expect bane to stay up with that DC and my luck on rolling recently: changing action to casting cure wounds on myself, 2nd level

Cora manages to avoid the most dangerous parts of the death ray, but still takes a heavy chunk of the damage. She lifts her holy symbol to her chest and heals some of the damage.
