OOC: So the Marching Order seems to be Myth out front, Vohana and Gul in the cart, Hjol on one side of the cart, Bonleo in the rear and I spoke with Ristra and she said she wanted to be in the rear, Ruvenal do you want to be on the opposing side of Hjol?

The sun is directly overhead as the noon time hour descends on the group. The heat can be felt but is dampened significantly by the high canopied trees overhead.

Myth, as you are scouting ahead you notice a falcon flying circles overhead. However those aren't the eyes you feel from the forest ahead.

And he'll attempt to hide before he gets spotted (unless it's too late - then he'll try to identify the threat and return to the wagon to warn everyone)

Myth, through the tree's ahead you begin to make out a figure, tall, powerful, but alone. It seems to be watching you, and you can ever so faintly see the glint off a piece of metal near what would be chest height for a creature. You make your way slowly to a nearby tree and position yourself against it so as to hide your form. 

Overhead the Falcon that is circling lets out a  loud screech! 

A voice calls out following the screech, "I know you saw me, and I know that you know I saw you... Identify yourself!" the voice is obviously female, and coming from the direction where you spotted the figure. 

(OOC - I was trying to look at the maps provided to figure out this answer - but what forest are we traveling through? Since I grew up around here I was wondering if perhaps we've come across an elven patrol or something if its the Cormanthyr forest (since the Elven Court is located in there etc) I only ask because with the falconry and the lone scout - it seems it might be likely - and being from here I'd guess Myth would know about patrols if not the scouts in particular)

OOC: I have uploaded the map that Lhao gave you, to the campaign as the current map. This is not really a large forest per se, it is a smaller forest directly north of Shadowdale. You definitely know that Elven patrols roam this part of the forest, as well as a selection of other humanoids such as Centaurs. You've also heard tale of Hobgoblins, Goblins, and Orcs in the area but have not personally seen them yourself.

Myth will sling his bow over his shoulder and step out from behind the tree, hand resting on the pommel of his shortsword.

"Well met....my name is Mythanthar Falynn of the Elven court.  My companions and I are passing through these woods under the authority of Lhaeo, scribe to Elminster of Shadowdale.  And who might you be?"

Ruvenel reaches into his pocket with one hand and stops the cart with the other. "Whoa, whoa now," he says as he brings a crystal out his pocket.

"May Clangedden bless us then." He says putting a hand on her shoulder and pulling out his great axe and resting the head on the ground and the handle on his knee.
