"I don't trust her," Vohana grumbled. "This feels like a trap to me." She continued to glare at Holly. "We don't know anything about her. We don't even know if she's telling the truth about who she is, so why are we just blatantly trusting her?" She finally tore her gaze away and began to flip through her spellbook. "I don't like it."
As Guldrum finds some thicker branches/sticks he will pull out his axe and split them into smaller kindling. Scraping some of the bark off to make a coal bed. Humming a song as he does.

"I'd rather get to where we need to go," Vohana said, scowling. "I hate just sitting around, when there's something to be done. We need to remember that, and not be distracted," she said, sending a glare at Holly. "We eat, then we go. Got it?"

"She is my sister, you must be asking how an elf and a gnome can be siblings and its a long story. As for why she keeps glaring at you I do not know."
"Ahhhh... sister, I see..." Holly finished the last of the skinning required on her second kill as she gave a grin to Myth, "Best we get these over and into that Rum so we can get some food in her belly then" she then sauntered over to the casket that Ruvenel had pulled out, soaked the meat of the creature in the rum for a minute or two and then brought them over to be placed on the fire. "These should taste mighty fine with that rum, thanks so much for sharing it. These should cook quick with the heat of this fire" she said smiling toward Vohana.
Holly jolts to attention at the sound of Ruvenel screaming, turning quickly with her hand on blade ready to defend herself. "Where?!" she says her eyes darting back and forth through the tree's trying to find the source of Ruvenel's apparent surprise. When she finds nothing she quickly moves towards Ruvenel, "What was it, Orcs? Goblins? Burrowers?"
"Sorry. False alarm. Thought I saw a snake, but it's just a stick." Ruvenel stares at a nearby bush. "Gah!" He jumps and yells again. "...Nope. Still a stick."
Holly drops the hilt of her blade so that it slowly falls back into the sheath. Her eyes burn with a sort of smoldering intensity for a second as she stares at Ruvenel, her adrenaline peaked and her heart pumping. Then all of a sudden she lets out a loud laugh from deep inside her stomach. "A...snake..." she chuckles for a few moments more then returns to the campfire and continues to prepare the food spearing the small critters through and propping them over the flame using carefully placed rocks.
Over the course of the next hour the group sits and talks with Holly, glares exchanged, stories told, and Rum Soaked Meat eaten with much delight. After which the group sits satisfied but not overly full or complacent. Holly stands and excuses herself to answer the call of nature and after a few minutes of time comes running back to the group with sword drawn.
"Burrowers! Make ready!"
OOC: So we have flowed into the second encounter of the day here, lets get ready for combat starting with perception checks, and then I'll post initiative.
OOC: I have also created a basic map here on google draw, Map. It is editable, so if you don't like where I have placed you around the fire you can change that up.

"It's all o' us 'gainst one o' her. If push comes ta shove, we'll shove harder. Especially since he's got a sista like you lookin' afta 'im."
Ruvenel smiles. "Now cheer up will ya? It's a new day and a new a'venture. And we get free food!" Persuasion check 18.

"Fine," Vohana sighed. She closed her spellbook and placed it in her lap, keeping it close at hand. "But don't blame me when we get ambushed."

"That's what fire does," Vohana said, narrowing her eyes at Holly. "It cooks things." She lifted a hand, ready to demonstrate. "Or burns them."

"What's a burrower?" Ruvenel asks as he jumps to his feet and pulls his crystal arcane focus out of his pocket.
He looks around the surrounding woods trying to spot some huge monsters. "Please don't be snakes," he thinks to himself.
