Gorthok wavers and is brought down to its knees. However there’s a spark of life that flickers into its eyes. The thunder boar was relentless, refusing to go down. It raises its head, reaching its tusks to the raging storm above, static snaps between them.
Neph comes in with one purpose. His blade finds its mark, piercing the beast between the eyes. Finally they go dark.

A bright flash of light. Lightning strikes at the core and an electric shockwave is sent out in all directions knocking back adventurers,kicking up dirt, throwing debris and toppling pillars in their place.
Eventually the dust starts to settle, and the clouds begin to clear. However, the sensation of static clings to the air and it smells like a delicious pig roast.

Those over five feet away were flung back 5 ft, have those annoying splotches in their vision for a bit as if they looked directly at the sun too long, and a bit of a migraine. Battered, bruised and baked, everyone shows evidence of battle, and will experience an extreme case of, not as temporary, static cling.)

Nepharios says, uncharacteristically light-hearted, drawing a really sharp saw-toothed knife to carve up some nice chunks of nicely grilled pork, ready to serve any who would want the taste of victory, then finding himself a seat to let his sharp teeth rip into a nice chunk of tender meat.

KD gets zapped, and then likely blinded, and Hal gets nearly skewered. She lays down for a while, collecting herself, Hal watching protectively. If she has a minute or two, she casts mending on him to try to repair him.
"That was painful, do we need to go into the hill right away?" she says to no one in particular.

A groan could be heard from the other side. Nova comes to sit up, her hair static and standing on end. “Am I dead?” She couldn’t see and there was ringing in her ears, but she could swear she heard muffled voices beyond it. “Hello?” Applying her strongest sense, she’d sniff the air. “Ouuu, bacon.” Following her nose the druid would be able to pin point where Neph carved the boar and had settled. She slinks underneath his arm and into his lap in time to steal a bite from him. “Mnnn.” Without her other senses she needed someone to be her eyes and ears. There would be plenty of meat to go around, and to take with them as rations or even to sell.
Fae too suffered from lack of eyesight and hearing. While she didn’t have a sense of smell as good as Novas, she did have the intelligence and medical knowledge to know that it wasn’t permanent. The wizard would take a seat against some rubble to rest until her vision and hearing returned.
KD would have the time to mend Hal and even rest herself.
Once his eyesight returned, and he could make himself presentable, Hansel would be able to see that Fae could use some patching up and proceed to heal her. “Thank you.” A hint of a smile touched her lips while she felt relief from the numbness. Some feeling returned to her limbs and the bruising of her veins from the electrocution was reduced.
Searching the anchorite bodies, Auric would come to find that they didn’t carry any personal items of value. He would find some loose change (29gp 33sp 136cp) on them though.
Short Rest (Smash that short rest! Unless you all would like to set up camp for a long one.)
The caves are dug out of the earth, with each cave mouth braced by two rectangular stone slabs topped with a heavy lintel stone. All the caves have 7-foot-high ceilings and crude wooden gates for doors. Each cave features a different layout but similar contents.
Eeach of the three cave mouths has the skull of a boar resting atop a pile of humanoid and animal bones. Proficiency with religion can ascertain that the bones are a warning to stay away.
C2. Northwest Cave
Carved into the lintel stone above the cave mouth is a picture of a boar chasing after a stick-figure humanoid. Buried in a random square beneath the floor Auric would find a vial containing syrupy liquid that looks like liquefied iron.
C3. Northeast Cave
The lintel stone above the mouth of this cave is bare. Buried beneath the floor board in this cave is a blue sapphire with a glowing centre.
C4. Southeast Cave
Carved into the lintel stone above the mouth of this cave is a pictograph depicting three stick-figure humanoids being struck by lightning. In a notch in the wall is a quality golden necklace.
