Durnham moves quickly to help Kotar with the rope, attempting to pull the plank over the pool. Brandon cocks his head and looks curiously at Qidira waving at the frogs and her mechanical bird. He shrugs his shoulders, not understanding what the gnome is trying to say. With nothing else to do to help the immediate problem of getting the plank across the pool, Brandon stands guard over Kotar and Durnham, keeping a close watch on the pool and other areas of the cavern for any signs of danger.
With Brandon's help, Kotar manages to drag the plank to the north side of the pool. The sturdy-looking piece of wood now spans the pool, barely above the surface. The two frogs are now either side of the middle section of the plank, having drifted out of the way while watching the ongoing efforts of the interlopers into their cave.
@Brandon:
Searching the cave intently throughout your endeavours, you notice a second exit to the south east. The ceiling there seems to be swaying in the darkness, it is difficult to tell at first if it's a trick of the torchlight until you see the distinct shape of wings - bats.
Qidira studies the frogs to try to confirm her theory of fakeness and sees a slight shift in movement. They eyes are just too real, she must be wrong. Then realizing that she's separated herself from the others in the plank set up and had her back to the unknown for an uncharacteristic amount of time, she presses against the west wall of the cavern and looks southward to see what lies ahead. Shifting her attention back and forth between frogs towards the party and the unknown on alert for any movement.
“Nicely done” Brandon whispers to Kotar and Durnham as the position the plank “But we must cross with caution, there is another passage to the southeast and bats appear to be inside” He points out the passage to the others in the group and tries to gets Qidira’s attention by pointing toward the passage to her east.
He starts to step forward, then turns to Ressys“The frogs have not moved, do you think they will let us pass without trouble?”
Durnham nods to Brandon and whispers to the other three on his side of the water. “Does anyone have an idea on how we might distract these frogs? Otherwise we may just have to try sneaking past one by one.”
Kotar had expected the plank to be a heavy, unyielding piece of wood, but instead it was light and the greatest challenge was to keep the hook in place. Maybe we will need to do the magic hand thing after all, he said to himself imagining the worst-case scenario. Fortunately, it didn’t came to pass. Thanks to Durnham and Brandon, no doubt, they managed to secure the board at the edge of the murky pool. Maybe it was no luck or coincidence the board rested in that place, he pondered looking at their improvised bridge. Maybe the bandits used it just like their group was going to.
“I don’t know if I could’ve done it alone.” He answers the warlock, just before raising his right hand with the thumb up - a signal to Qidira that they had succeeded. “And about the frogs… They didn’t react when we pulled the plank, but better not take risk.”
Kotar wasn’t sure if they would attack or not. Giant frogs were not exactly the type of creature you would find in the mountains where he spent most of his life.
“I’m not good at stealth…”He admitted, looking first to Durnham, then Brandon and at least to Ressys. “So, if we are going one at time then I’ll go last.” It was better that way, safer. The last thing he wanted was to agitate the creatures and make it harder for any of the three to cross. Hope we can just pass through them.

"Hmm, trouble? Hard to say. Somehow Hulil has appeased them or they don't don't bother her to go back and forth. Perhaps they won't bother us. Perhaps..." The Firbolg trails off in thought for a moment. "I have the speech of beast and leaf. This gives me the ability to communicate, in a limited manner, with beasts and plants. They can understand the meaning of my words but it grants me no special ability to understand them in return. That would take magic, a spell, but I am not prepared to use it at this time." The Firbolg's ears twitch some more. "I tried earlier but they gave no answer. I will try again and we will see if they will simply allow us to pass unmolested."
He then moves a bit closer to the water and calls out, croaking the words.
Croak, croak, croooak? Croak, croak, croooak?
May we pass? May we pass?

Noticing some weaknesses in the construction, Durnham suspects the bridge is intended to only allow one person at a time. He turns to Brandon and Kotar.“Watch out for that bridge. I don’t think it will hold more than one at a time. The frogs may be allowing us by but I wouldn’t want to push our luck by swimming in their pond.” He pauses a moment and thinks before continuing.
“I’m not very dexterous either but I’d like to go next. It would be the safest time with two on each side of the bridge.”
If none of the others speak up he will attempt the crossing when Ressys reaches the opposite side. 9 Dex check
You peer into the darkness to the south, your natural night vision piercing some way into the black and turning it to shades of grey. After about 40ft the pathway splits at a Y-junction, and down the right fork - at the limit of your vision, around 60ft - you just make out a humanoid figure. It is involved in some form of activity but you cannot determine what, and they are not moving towards you.
Ressys moves across the plank with a litheness which belies his huge frame, although the wood does creak and groan in protest at the effort of staying in one piece. In a few short seconds however he reaches the other side and stands next to Qidira, waiting for the others to join them. The gnome is facing south, peering into the cave beyond.
Durnham steps up to go next, explaining his logic and concerns about the frogs. His first few steps are steady and confident, and he seems to grow more assured as he goes. However, at the halfway point his foot slips on the water-soaked wood and goes into the pool. Trying to compensate for the imbalance, the dwarf misjudges his realignment and tips himself into the dark cold water on the west side of the plank with a resounding CRASH. The noise is deafening after the intense silence, and you all stop with horror until Durnham resurfaces a second after submerging.
It is only now that you notice the silence; the croaking has stopped and the frogs have disappeared.
@Qidira:
The noise startles the humanoid, who suddenly spins and – you guess – looks in your direction. You hear nothing but make out arm gestures, not understanding their meaning.

Qidira initiative - 17
As Ressys gets closer to her, Qidira moves to him and whispers, "From here this direction goes about 40 ft to a Y. Off to the right of the Y in another 20 ft is a humanoid. I cannot make out what they are doing but they are not moving this way." The plank cracks nearby and Durnham temporarily disappears into the water. Qidira stops speaking abruptly and peers back down the passageway at the humanoid trying to see if they've noticed. "They've seen us, and they are gesturing, but I can't tell what their gestures mean." As she looks back to Ressys saying this, she realizes that the frogs have disappeared and just as suddenly, "Could those be magical gestures?" Qidira quickly presses her back against the cavern wall making herself less a target just in case as she searches the water for the frogs, hands on her daggers as she does so.
You see the frogs through the dark water, it looks like they were spooked by Durnham's sudden entry into the water but are looping back towards the surface - and him

The pitch of the croaking shifts slightly as Ressys imitates the frogs. The two by the plank shift and drift slightly away from the plank.
Ressys, taking this as a good sign, starts to cross the plank. "Now's as good a time as any." he remarks.

Your suspicions are correct, the plank will likely only take one humanoid at a time. Kotar should be OK, just.
