DAY 25 - 34
We spent about 9 days going south in the jungle, having moments to test out abilities. Musharib was the only one to not get paired with a God, but he is relieved to be honest. He cheers us along. One thing we learned about dwarves, they make enemies very fast, and remember friends for a lifetime.
ENCOUNTERS: 14, 9, 13, 13, 2, 17, 15, 7, 2
On day 27 we (21) noticed something very unusual. We came across (5) eighteen tribal-looking cannibals killing and eating zombies during the day. Musharib made a motion with his hands and we were very still. They moved along and we didn't see the cannibals again. There was nothing among the zombies except a horrid stench that masked our escape. Never have we seen so many cannibals in one group.
On day 29 we (39) stumbled upon an Emerald Enclave camp. While not hostile, it was nighttime, and we were all tired. We used our newfound abilities and managed to slip by unnoticed. We had heard about the Emerald Enclave before, especially Musharib. They are a widespread group of wilderness survivalists who preserve the natural order by rooting out unnatural threats. They struggle to keep civilization and the wilderness from destroying themselves. They looked like they had just come back from hunting zombies. What is it with zombies in the jungle? I'm sure we might have another encounter with undead in this jungle. But, we hope not.
The rest of the week was uneventful.
We crossed Ataaz Kahakla once more as we trekked further south, and once again got to admire it's timeless beauty.
It would be another 16 days before we reached Omu.
Along the trip, Yasei continued to quietly head off to a corner of the boat, sit down, and meditate for hours on end. You could hear her mumbling lots of incomprehensible phrases, almost as if singing them in a strange key.
During the hottest time of the day, she would often times come out from the boat's shaded shelter and, in the brightness of the hot open deck, complete a strange form of calisthenics, very similar to slow dancing. Strange indeed.
On day 28, shortly after witnessing the cannibals, Clayton caught Yasei pulling a nail out of one of the sidewalls of the boat, with her bare hands. He watched in awe as she proceeded to bend the head of the nail in a perfect circle (like it was a limp noodle) resembling a full moon. She then quite easily spread the thick nail back out straight as an arrow, and then shoved it back into the wood wall like it was made of butter. What the heck?!
The days slip by. We journey. We eat. We drink. We exchange stories. We see Slither putting on his spectacles and take notes as the jungle unfolds around us and we are either watching or being watched by the wildlife. Yasei meditates. Musharib laughs and tells stories.
On day 41, we (42) saw an enormous tyrannosarus lumbering through the jungle attacking a group of zombies. While Slither took notes vigorously, Musharib suggested we run away immediately. We did.
On day 42, we (93) came across a most wondrous and unusual sight. A large circular mile of a winter wonderland. Right in the middle of the jungle! Slither nearly broke his writing utensil. Everything was covered in frost, and snow, and it glittered beautifully. It was unlike anything we have ever seen before, and we have no way to explain it.
On day 43, we (83) saw more cannibals. There were about (11) of them. We decided to, once again, avoid them.
We were unbothered until the 50th day, where we (20) came across a Grung hunting party. There were (10) of them, and they did not attack us. We had a meal with them, and let us continue on our journey once the fire was low. Omu was so very close now.
“Everyone’s going loony... No, I ain’t going to challenge them to an honorable duel. What do you mean that’s the only way to figure out who they are? We can ask them. It worked perfectly fine last time, everyone was just busy. Maybe I’m going loony...” Clayton mutters to himself.

Over the past few days Maldrek has been hiding, appearing and disappearing at random times. Everyone has had something go missing at some point and had it replaced with a small wooden figure. Clayton's hat was replaced with a wooden cow,Bree's bandanna was replaced with a swan, Slither's glasses with a lizard, one of Yasei's swords was replaced with a cat and then promptly returned the by the end of the day after the nail incident. The items were all eventually found on Bumble. (The hat looked adorable on him.)
He eventually approaches Clayton and Bree and says "I'jin. The name is I'jin. Keep a better eye on your possessions, he's pretty unpredictable." He pauses to look over Clayton. "Be careful cowboy, he likes your hat."

Since the temple, Shariel went from apprehensive to serene after the Great Snake's blessing. Despite her apparent calm, her posture was rarely upright, except while walking. It was as though her new inhabitant was more comfortable close to the ground.
During their days of travel, she continued her typical jaunts to the shore, but came back less frequently and could be seen among the trees more often than not. While on the boat, she continued her habit of appearing in unexpected places, but her movements could be followed by sound more often. When she foraged for food, little was ever brought back and, when confronted, she often turned defensive.
Her duplicitous nature - free-spirited explorer contrasted with a reclusive, possessive attitude - was finally broken when they encountered the grung hunting party. The little frog people seemed attracted to the elf, and she made no effort to dissuade them. In fact, she fauned over the attention, treating the little men like pilgrims seeking wisdom from a holy ascetic. The few that offered gifts were shown affection, but dismissed as readily as the others.

The jungle parts to reveal a dead city enclosed by sheer cliffs. Ruined buildings and stone boulevards rise like ghosts from the floor of the misty basin. Colorful birds glide overhead. A waterfall pours into the basin, creating a swollen river that floods much of the city before draining into a deep rift filled with molten lava. A ruined palace lies a few hundred feet from the edge of the streaming abyss. Upon arriving, Omu appears abandoned, its raised streets and splintered plaza hold not a soul, lying in a basin hidden in the depths of the rainforest.

She will then get down into her Lightning Stance, mumble a few words of encouragement to herself, and then await the arrival of the 5.
Lightning Stance. When your enemies are many, and your blade must reach them all, become as a lightning strike. Move quickly and branch out your blade arcing between your enemies. While in this stance, If you use the Dash standard action, you may attack every enemy you pass. These attacks are made normally but treat them as critical if they hit any enemies that were unaware of your presence and unprepared for your attack. Additionally once per turn, you may use this stance to furiously attack 3 times. These attacks are incredibly fast but difficult to land accurately. The attack rolls are made without proficiency bonus, but deal damage normally. Similar to wind stance your movements are quick and erratic but you are spending your focus on attacking rather than guarding, therefore while disadvantaged against you, attacks of opportunity are still provoked.
Of course. No one gets left behind.
It is, however, a long journey to Omu. Hopefully the Gods will continue to smile upon you.

The journey to Omu begins.
