Darcio, you can see there are two torches placed on the wall of the mineshaft at the entrance to a larger mining chamber. You can see a shifting shadow, and the more you focus the more you become sure there are only one set of footsteps in the chamber.
As you all round the corner into the mine pathway, closer and closer to the light of the torches (those without darkvision can see right now due to the torches), you can see the shifting shadow of the being inside more closely. From peering into the mining chamber, you can see it is rather small. There are a few torches and tables, but most importantly, gold. A large pile of shimmering gold pieces sits in the center of the room. The figure whose footsteps you hear is wearing a white cloak-like garment similar to that of the bandits you've seen so far, though the figure only seems about four-feet tall. You can faintly hear the figure murmuring to itself as it tends to the gold pieces--cleaning them and seemingly just staring at them.
Gorgo is briefly mesmerized by the piles of gold. Is this what my horde will look like one day?
Snapping out of it, he looks toward the figure and makes two quick jab-jab motions with his spear, then looks to the others to see if they agree.

Lord Darcio nods in agreement with Brilyn and readies himself to assist in capturing the small white-cloaked creature, hoping the clinking armour of brave Gorgo won´t give them away.
While all of this sneaking around is it really Gorgo’s style, he does find it a bit thrilling to creep into the villain’s lair undetected. He accompanies Brilyn as the approach the gold obsessed bandit.

The bandit, who is turned away from the main group, does not hear a thing as Brilyn approaches. She can get as close as she wishes to, every step bringing nothing but silence as she traverses through the mineshaft. However, after only a few steps, Gorgo's armor clinks and clanks rather loudly as he follows Brilyn. The small bandit turns at the noise. He jumps back at the sight of them, and now you can see from his face that he is a goblin. The goblin bandit quickly pulls out a dagger from the belt on his waist, which seems to be carrying at least five daggers, if not more. The goblin does his best to look fierce, but you can see he appears intimidated by the fact he's outnumbered by people at least two feet taller than him in most cases. "Who are you?"
Lord Darcio confidently approaches the goblin. "I am Lord Darcio Heartshade and these are my companions. We are here to put an end to the banditry plaguing the area. You might still live if you lay down your weapon and surrender goblin." He says in a firm and commanding voice while Azrael briefly shows his true form to the goblin. Intimidation: 17
Pleased with Lord Darcio’s words, Gorgo will level his spear toward the goblin… the implication being the fool should make up his mind quickly. Hopefully this will help the intimidation.

Already appearing fearful, the goblin is very convinced by Darcio's masterfully intimidating words and Gorgo's spear. The goblin's dagger falls from his hand onto the rock beneath. He's breathing heavily now, and backs up a few steps. "Okay...okay...I...I want to live. What do you want?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"You could start by informing us on your numbers, positions, traps and leadership." Lord Darcio continues. "And take a look at this map and see if it seems correct." He gestures at Brilyn to show her map to the goblin. Insight to discern if the goblin answers truthfully, helped by Azrael:14
The goblin seems overwhelmed with all the questions, but slows his breathing and begins to speak. "We have many...many people. Thirty-two. They're all around here, there's no way out for you. Many traps, all around here. We are led by a very powerful elf, who would rain terror upon you." Looking at the map, he says, "This is entirely incorrect."
Darcio, you can blatantly tell that everything just said by the goblin is completely false.
The goblin's expression falters, and he looks down. "Alright..." He is silent for a moment. "There are nine of us. Most of them are probably in the main cave at the very end of the mineshaft. There are multiple explosion devices placed around, just one spark and the mineshaft would collapse in on you. Our leader is a half-orc named Draldon. And...and...the map, it looks well-drawn. The main mine cavern is larger than it's shown there, but everything else is true."
You get the sense now that the goblin is being truthful, and is far more scared than he was before, cowering and not making eye contact.
"See, that wasn´t so hard. Your first step towards redemption goblin." Lord Darcio says in a somewhat gentler tone. Unless there are more questions Lord Darcio asks Brilyn to tie and gag the goblin and leave him before continuing deeper into the mineshaft. Before he leaves he tries to make a quick and rough estimate of the amount of gold pieces in the pile.
Gorgo has no questions. But once the goblin is bound and gagged, Gorgo will remain behind a bit to speak to him. Softly he will say, “Gorgo knows goblins well. Likely, Goblin Coin-Counter has wriggled his way out of bindings tighter than these, and lied worse than he tried to lie to the warlock. Gorgo suggests that if Goblin Coin-Counter finds himself escaping, Goblin Coin-Counter shouldn’t give any thought to warning his bandit friends or trying to stick one of those daggers in our backs. Goblin Coin-Counter should run instead… out the cave, over the hills and far far away. Gorgo knows goblins well.” He holds up his spear. “Gorgo also knows goblin takes a long time to clean off of the Forbidden Spear.” He lets the spear tip linger in front of the goblin for a moment. “Now, Goblin Coin-Counter knows Gorgo.”

Brilyn (or whoever is binding and gagging this goblin), please make a Survival check.
The goblin is shaking now, and nods at Gorgo as best he can.
Darcio, based on a very rough estimate, there appears to be over 1,000 gold pieces in the pile. You can surmise they are the stolen gold of the townspeople.
As the goblin in interrogated, Allase walks around the room. She begins to pick up the gold pieces and put them into a bag. "If these are the townsfolk coin we should return it." Lookijg around at the rest of the group she adds, "Nine of them doesn't sound too hard. They won't surprise us this time. I am ready for them." It is obvious she is still nervous about the fight.

Lord Darcio holds up his index finger and points in the direction of the footsteps. "Just one I believe." he whispers and proceeds, ready for battle.

Looking down the pathway Brilyn considers their options, but there does not seem to be a way to get to the bandit without getting spotted.
Seeing Gorgo gesture his intent she whispers Do not kill, we need answers.
Brilyn will sneak forward alongside Gorgo as the two will take the lead, having the others to attack from afar if needed.
She will try to get as close as possible to the creature before getting spotted (not sure if its facing us or the other way).
