Angus whispers to Marlyth, "We'll need to use the chips again to escape. I'll create a door into the gorgon's demiplane in the floor here, and you create a door into the same demiplane outside this force dome, either on the ceiling or over by one of those guards in the corner. Then everyone else will run in my door, and out your door and be beyond the dome."
"I think we should deactivate the magical glyphs and the dome of force"- Marlyth whispers back to Angus and eagerly observes his action... anticipating something peculiar to happen when he attempts to cast the spell and pass through the shadowy door. If nothing happens, she will use her chip to conjure another door on the surface of the dungeon wall by casting Demiplane.
<quick accounting. Hiw many chips do you have and who is attuned. I knkw one was in Walterns tomb. Tyreus missed it, you found it. He doesnt know you have it. Did Marlyrh also hsve one? Are there any others?>

Technically, wall of force provides total cover (JC and MM have diacussed variously in some detail), meaning the caster cannot target through it. (Seems pedantic, but important for some things.) This is beside the fact that demiplane cannot be ended at will. It lasts an hour. So the door from before is still floating over the stone slip n slide. That one was Angus'. Marlyth can use hers to cast demiplane on the floor of this room within the bubble as Angus would have.
Does she wish to do so? Will it go to the Gorgon's demiplane or someplace else?
demiplane creates a new demiplane or to an existing demiplane created by a casting of demiplane. So, I understand that Marlyth is making a demiplane that resembles the plane of Abyss, but as a 30ft per linear dimension space. The Abyss has at least 679 distinct and greatly varied layers, with 141 habitable by humanoids. At your discretion, you can describe the place.>
(My apologies if I'm missing something, but can you elaborate?)
<Quick note: earlier this guy established himself as a talker. He is definitely the type to pontificate on his own achievements given the opportunity. Definitely something he would do if he had a captive audience.>
(Marlyth actually has made a demiplane of her own named 'Peaceful Sanctuary'. Let's cast Demiplane and create a link to Kyrilla's demiplane which is suggested by Angus. Does anyone have any other ideas?)
(Well, if the door to the gorgon's demiplane is still floating out there somewhere, we could pass into Marlyth's door and out through the other door. Or, as has been hinted at, perhaps we can get Tyreus to start monologue-ing and a different opportunity will present itself.
Has anyone been able to determine anything about the glyphs? would destroying them have any effect on the dome?)
(I'm somewhat disappointed that my game of Portalwon't work)
(I'm concerned with the glyphs, these traps might discharge lightning if someone tampered with them. Does Angus' arcana check reveal how to deactivate these? Besides, there are two guards standing in a corner. Can we try to communicate with them?)

Out of game, i may or may not have described lonked glyphs, a mechanic this module adds to 5e. The basic premise is that there is a trigger Glyph and an effect Glyph. Sylvene and Tyreus use them extensively. So the effect of the one rune was the wall of force, the other one was just an alarm to alert Tyreus that someone was in the keep. They've already been triggered by a bunch of people landing on them.
Observation: 'Steles' described in this module, also appear in Elden Ring - they're where you get maps. I think that word has been used more in the past year than the preceding 50.
(Is Tabaqui's telepathic link to Calner still active? If so, he will reach out and describe his trapped situation to the sorceror, hoping someone can come extricate him from his muddy prison before he runs out of air.)
Tabaqui's two daggers in the wall slowed his fall enough that the damage was reduced (DM opinion?). Realizing the danger of the open flame, he will quickly try to climb back up to the burning rag, yank it out and extinguish it in the mud. With his darkvision, he will search for any possible exit. is it possible to dig through the soft lakebed and tunnel up and around the stone ceiling?

Based on post 2558, It appears that Marlyth did cast demiplane in the floor, connecting to the gorgon's demiplane. If this is the case, Angus will drop down into that demiplane, and move across to where the other door exits and peer out. He will attempt to exit the shadow door back to the Prime Material Plane unobserved.
Stealth (DA) 13 hm, fogot to put in DA so here is second roll, use lowest 15

<@rob hold that action, then let me know if you want to execute it before during or after this except, totally up to you.>
Tyreus turns to hear a bell ringing in the distance. It's loud and blunt like a fire alarm. (He probably heard one or more of you as you were careening down a water slide unexpectedly, but I'm not going to put words in your mouths)
Casting fly upon himself, the mage ascends to look over the wall of the cellar storage room. Peering down through the hole, he does a quick head count. "Is that it, then? Oh, sorcerer, I'm afraid you'll have to do better than that. After all the lofty words of rhe Thayan mages, I expected more of a challenge to present itself to my claim of this realm. Early days, I suppose, but this... whatever it is, honestly, did you think this menagerie of yours could really stop the great Cobalt Mage from claiming your realm?" These comments are clearly directed at Calner.
"That's the problem with all of you. You lack vision! Just as my parents squandered their inheritance, turned their back on the arcane knowledge my grandmother died to uncover, so have you all failed to seize the power before you. Just like them, you will regret your choice. I have been waiting for a worthy challenger, and my disappointment is deeply unfortunate... for you. If I cannot properly enjoy a duel of wits with competent casters, I suppose I'll have to fi d so.e other way to extract some enjoyment from this encounter. Perhaps you will prove to have some value, yet, despite your shortcomings."
At this, the walls of the room begin to expand, as forms swell from the stonework floor. Implements of torture begin to emerge, built if rough wood and rusty iron. Spikes and chains cover the room as metal bars rise from the ground, beginning to form cells and csges.
<@rob, you can jump in any time. He's going to notice a door, but it can be open or closed after you enter and you can choose to do so before, during, or after the events above. Tyreus is midair above the cellar and not quite in the center. His back is to the sloped path above which the ephemeral gravity defying door stands. It is still raining, the winds of the moors hiwling ad they blast the water bearly horizontal, but do not effect the mage's steady position in the air.>

Angus will wait for a moment when the mage seems to be focused on Calner, or on reshaping the room into a torture chamber, any moment that the mage might be slightly distracted, and then take the above action, dropping down into the demiplane, crossing to the opposite door, opening and looking out. If he has movement left, he will seriously consider running along the arch/leaping for the mage's back. He will use an action to cast dispel magic at 3rd level on the mage, hoping to end the fly spell (and any others). Spellcasting ability roll: 22
He sticks the landing, alowing hia deacent into the waiting earthen maw with his deadly daggers. Upon reaching the bott9m, not much worse foe ware, he fids he is in a hole. The rain stops trickling in as the top is sealed, the flickering light of the oilsoaked rag tied to the dagger thrown by Tyreus illuminating the sopn to be subaquatic tomb.

Angus dismisses Tyreus' fly spell, causing him to fall into the keep and take 5 damage. As he feels the bouysnt magicsl forces lifting him suddenly fade, Tyreus grabs wildly at the air arouns him, catchin the thrull by the tail. The pair of them fall to the ground.
Tyreus gets up immediately, seemingly unaffected by the impact. While his winged companion lets out a squeal of pain the instant the mage hits the ground, ensing his surprised hiwl from being dragged out of the sky by his master's hand.
The mage stone shapes a hole in the wall of the keep to peer out at his atracker and spots Angus poking his head through the door.
"Got you." The mage says with an evil grin.

(Yes, Marlyth will cast Demiplane on the floor but link it to a demiplane situated in Abyss, and prevent her teammates from using the door.)
