"The Abberations of the The Far Realms are not welcome here!" shouts the amethyst dragon. She aims squarely at the star spawn and unleashes her breath weapon. A shining bead if gravitational force projects from her mouth, the force of the conical effect created by it, bending the light surrounding it, shifing her purple crystal scales to a deep red. The crystalline horns that hiver behind her head stand tall, like the acutely pointed ears if an angry Doberman, the effects combing to cast a fiendish air.
The bead flies nearly 90 feet. A gravitational wave created by its passing threatens to tear any creature apart at a molecular level, to say nothing of k kicking them off balance.
Star Spawn, Tabaqui, Tauzen, Tyreus, time elemental (it's just 1 but in 4 places at once with 4x action) and Eagle Marlyths:
DC20 strength save for ½ of 50 force damage and avoid having speed reduced to 0 until the start if the dragon's next turn.
<Calner Walks and Angus I'm ruling outside the cone since we're not using a map, if that makes sense. If you think you should be in the cone, let me know or just roll the save>
(Ed Greenwood put this dragon here like 30 years ago. Total coincidence she hates these things, but it's all there in Fizban's if you've got it)
(ooc: the Starspawn doesn't have enough hp to survive even if he makes the save so dissipates from existence.)
(just curious, if Tyreus went down did he take the 7 rounds of psychic damage from the Starspawn's Whispering Aura? if so, wouldn't that of given him 7 death save fails?)
He's really just a prop, but I'm not actually sure psychic damage works on the unconcious, come to think of it. But it's moot: monsters and NPCs usually dont make death saves, he's really just a prop. Thing is, thst dragon there, she kind of hates everything Calner represents. Tyreus: she's OK with. Evil's not so bad in her eyes. So, you might want to have a scapegoat. Those two probably would have been friendly with one another if they had met. But he demonstrated little evidence of the interests they share when viewed from afar, so they haven't met, though she certainly knew he was there.
Of course, this all becomes apparent in-game if you talk to the NPCs.

<players are up, I'm just putting the dragon's initiative under the last PC. Technically Angus goes before the elementals, but as always, dialogue is not initiative based. Outside metal, all you know is a dragon showed up and she's asked what you've wrought, showed a healthy disdain for far realm creatures and blasted the field with gravity breath. In any event, @everyone: feel free to post>
My psionic clairvoyance has informed me of this Tyreus' presence. I have learned much about the artifacts he possessed. Indeed, more than even he. It is most curious thst such a fool could find the stone though, hidden as it was. Ironic, for ages it sat, here in my very home and yet somehow I failed to collect it. Perhaps, it has collected me. The stone has been here longer than I. Empires have come and gone the world Ober I'm the ti e it has rested here. In my years here I have studied the planes and collected artifacts and lore, mapped and plotted the cosmos and found naught that which lie right under my nose, until this human unearths the object. He was a most useful subject in these early experiments. Never posed much danger, until you showed up. Now there are creatures from the Far Realms, creatures from the demiplane of time, all upon my doorstep. This experiment has reached its conclusion. The unnatural and improbable things it has brought to my doorstep must be dismissed a d their source sealed.
<the amethyst dragon can use legend lore and clairvoyance ("background check" and "watery sight" regional effects, respectively) to spy on Tyreus and to learn much about the stone of creation. We don't at this point know what happened to Sylvene or her Dearven companion, but the latter is described as 'lost' somewhere. We do know that Sylvene knew aomwthing about Highstar lake from the painting at Walterns tomb, which Tyreus used ro find this place. He also has her notes, so thst might be how he found the stone, but it is unclear what Sylvene knew and hiw she knew it)
This is still combat, in that PCs have initiative and she is at best passed that someone allowed far rewlams creatures t9 appear here. Plus there are still three elementals on the field, two serving Tyreus, (though he's out of commision, so they are just on a killing spree, technically free agents, just still hostile to non-elementals) and the time elemental, either utterly inscrutable motives.

"Great One, we humbly ask your pardon. It seems this mage was using the creation stone to practice forbidden magics, that threaten the existence of the the very Weave itself. We opposed him to prevent a calamity befalling all planes of existence. We did not mean to defile your territory, but we were outnumbered and about to succumb to the heretic."
Angus will sprint to Tauzan and cast cure wounds on him for 16 hp.
Edit: its actualy 1 water elemtal and one time elemental plus the dragon. I forgot one of the WEs got knocked out.
Edit: one time elemental vanishes with Tyreus' body, another with Tauzen's. (Mechanical, but also story. If Tauzen death saves successfully I'll let hom know where he is in PM. He can roll those in thus thread)

The time elementals meanwhile, upon close inspection, are not overtly hostile to the humanoids of the area, but they seem to be attracted to movement and certainly interact with non-elementals carelessly. A featureless glowing mist us rather an inspection thing on the best of days, so much the moreau when it's behavior follows a perception of the universe spanning the temporal dimension. It teleported itself and 4 other creatures to that spot. "Time jaunt" fun fact. It has a range of anywhere in this crystal sphere.
