Assuming Oppleby doesn´t believe the goblin is lying he throws him 3 pieces of gold. History to know location of Cragmaw castle: 14 King Grol:11 and/or the black spider:11 "His name is Gundren Rockseeker." Oppleby mutters as he prepares to leave the cave.
Keashirryl doesn't say a word while letting the gold cling and fall in the small goblin hands. I made too generous an offer, she thinks to herself, I could have started lower. Her fingers brush the surface of the holy symbol, as she reminds herself with some asperity that loosing a couple coins is little price for a life. Still, there is some reluctance in her while walking up to the half-stranger and - if met with no opposition - freeing him. She lends a hand to the warrior, aiding him in standing up. I should cast the spell on him, she thinks, glancing at the man. But I am woulded as well, says a little piece in her mind. I will not risk it. Guilt piles up in her throat, but she doesn't move. Instead, she distracts herself with curiosity, which proved to be a good remedy for such issues of conscience in the past.
"Before we leave" she says, touching Oppleby's shoulder, hoping to gain attention. "There was a jade frog in the previous room. It felt out of place, and it captured my interest. I would appreciate if we could take a look at it... with joined effort."
"Umm, yes, of course, we'll have a look at it on our way back." Oppleby answers Keashirryl while heading off with Sidar Hallwinter. "Take what we can bring with us, we should head back to the cart before it's getting dark." He says to the others as they leave the goblins.
Salty Paul already grabbed the two healing potions but didn't take any coins or loot from that room. Now that we are on 'peaceful' terms with the goblins, he would want to evaluate what is in Klarg's room, how much he can carry, and try to bring back as much as possible. If they stole this from a caravan, there may be a reward for it, or perhaps there are items they can put to use if the owners cannot be identified.

Oppleby, you have heard of goblins in the Neverwinter wood and based on these goblins relation to Cragmaw Castle and the King there makes you think that might be their ruler. You haven't heard of a black spider person before.
Keashirryl, the goblin part and let you approach the man. As you free him, he leans heavily on you. "Thank you. I'm," he grunts in pain, "I'm Sildar Hallwinter." He looks around at the rest of you and a look of recognition passes over his face.
You leave as the goblins are quickly packing up excitedly talking about the gold. You make your way back over to Klarg's cave. The jade frog stattuette has tiny golden orbs for eyes. It is very well made and small enough to fit in a pocket. Keashirryl and Oppleby, make an investigation or arcana check for me.
Salty Paul, most of the stores are very bulky and you would expect them to need a wagon to transport most of them. Make me an athletic check if you are trying to carry as much as you can back to your cart.
There is still the 600 cp, 110 sp coins that you found originally.
Once he is out of earshot of the goblins, Sildar says in a surprised voice, "You are Gundren's friends aren't you? The ones who were following us down with the supplies. How did you find me? I am in your debt. We were ambushed on the road. They took Gundren to the castle and left me here." After listening to you discussing what to do next he says, "I have business in Phandalin and am not in condition to be caught in the woods at night. By the looks of you all, I doubt you want to be on the road much more tonight either. I can offer you some gold if you help me back to town quickly. Once we are in a safer position, I will tell you all I know of what happened to your friend and I know of the recent happenings in the area."

Salty Paul grabs a couple of the most promising looking crates under each arm to see if he can manage getting them back to their wagon... Athletics 15... with advantage due to Oppleby's words of encouragement. (I imagine something like "Faster, man-mule! Get a move on!")
Just in case no one else grabs it, he will pocket the coin. "Hey, just so uh... nobody forgets... I'm grabbing all this coin," he announces.

Oppleby, you and Keasshirryl look over the jade frog. It seems to be worth a pretty penny with how well it is carved. You also realize it is magic. It is a Guardian Emblem
Paul is able to grab a crate along with a few large rolls of fabric. You all make your way back to the cart and climb in. You set off for Phandalin. It is getting towards evening when you begin to approach the town.
The rutted track emerges from a wooded hillside, and you catch your first glimpse of Phandalin. The town consists of forty or fifty simple log buildings, some built on old fieldstone foundations. More old ruins—crumbling stone walls covered in ivy and briars—surround the newer houses and shops, showing how this must have been a much larger town in centuries past. Most of the newer buildings are set on the sides of the cart track, which widens into a muddy main street of sorts as it climbs toward a ruined manor house on a hillside at the east side of town.
As you approach, you see children playing on the town green and townsfolk tending to chores or running errands at shops. Many people look up as you approach, but all return to their business as you go by.
Sildar seems much more at ease.
“My friends,” he says, “let us secure lodgings. I’m told the local inn is very quaint.”
"(Yawn) Say that again, brother. I'm exhausted. Let's get ourselves some rooms, take a good sleep, and deliver this wagon and worry about what to do about Rockseeker in the morning."

Oppleby suggests Keashirryl keeps the magical jade frog. On the final stretch to Phandalin Oppleby succumbs to tinkering to calm his nerves while questioning Sildar about what happened and what he knows about why Gundren was taken away to this spider. When they arrive in Phandalin Oppleby too feels relieved, surviving his first adventure with a fairly successful field testing of his Blazooka. Some modifications regarding the underlying acid streaming barrel had to be taken care of though. "But we will not let Gundren down right?" Oppleby says to the others as they approach the Inn. "We have to find him, I at least owe him that." Oppleby says pleadingly to the others.
Keashirryl pockets the frog readily, then turns mostly silent again for the rest of the journey to Phandalin. Upon arrival, she is starting to look more closed off than before. She nods to the idea of the inn, being just as worn as the others.
To the question of Oppleby, she furrows her brows - more puzzled than angered by it. "I planned this to be a short term commitment. But to quit now would be both cowardly - which I care little about - and, more importantly, a waste of time and resources. Rockseeker is still in danger, so I, for one, am going to see this through."
Outside in the open air, away from the horrors of the goblin cave and with the idyllic Phandalin laid out before him, Salty Paul is feeling much more bold than he was earlier. "I'm game. I reckon Gundren would do the same for me. In fact, I owe him a round of drinks, so I am SURE he would move the Nine Hells to find me if it came to that."
Paul will stride into the inn and proclaim, "Four road weary travelers-" he remembers Sildar "-maybe five. Looking for rooms. At least one of us," he points his thumbs into his own chest, "looking for a hot meal as well."

"Hot meal for me too." Oppleby says gruffly, dropping his gear by a table and climbing up on a chair, immediately tinkering away on some small contraption to keep his hands and mind occupied.
Both on your way to Phandalin and in the bar, Sildar tells you much of what he and Gundren were doing in the area. He tells of an ancient mine called the Wave Echo Cave, where dwarves would make magical items. It was lost ages ago but Gundren and his brothers say they have rediscovered it. The cave is why he was looking for your help and why he was moving down to Phandalin in the first place. Sildar had over heard Klarg mention that he had orders to waylay Gundren and that a black spider had asked that Gundren be brought to him. Gundren and Sildar had a map leading to the cave but the goblins stole it from him and sent to Cragmaw castle, someone in Phandalin may know where that is, he mentions. Sildar was going to Phandalin to find a wizard named Iarno Albrek who he had lost contact with.
You arrive at the Stonehill Inn. It is a small and quiet place. The locals nurse mugs of ale and eye you with curiosity. A short and friendly young human"waddles up to you, "Toblen Stonehill at your service. Oh rooms and a meal of course. A room for each and a meal is 5sp each. What brings you to our wonderful town?"
You notice the locals are very interested in you, it isn't often they get adventurers in these parts.
Sildar quickly takes his meal up to his room to recover.
"We were contracted to bring some equipment here for Mr. Gundren Rockseeker. He has however gone missing and we need to visit a place called Cragmaw castle if you could tell us how to find our way there." Oppleby says impatiently as he pays for room and meal. "We're also looking for one Iarno Albrek."He adds before returning to his obsessive tinkering.
"Yup. We ran into a little goblin trouble back up the Triboar a ways. They thought they were a match for us... but after a little bit of this - kapow!" he flexes his left arm, "... and a bit of this - kapow!" he flexes his right arm, "and a heap of clobbering from these three pals of mine,"he extends his arms and gestures toward Keashirryl, Oppleby and Promise, "... we sent a bunch of those goblins skedaddling for the hills and sent a bunch more to meet..." he pauses, brow furrowed in thought, "... to meet whatever silly green god goblins worship." He draws a line across his through with his finger.
"But as my main man Oppleby said, they snatched our buddy Gundren and stashed him away in some castle somewheres. Now we're gonna bust him back outta there. Once we figure out where there is." Salty Paul parks on a stool at the bar and greedily devours the hot meal set before him.

The tiefling woman flinches as Paul gestures towards their small party. She feels like she got her fair share of attention already, though she was at least relieved that the image painted of her person was fairly threatening. She pays for her meal and sitting down, begins to eat, showing slightly pointed teeth with every bite.
If anyone attempts to persuade Toblen in order to get information, she attempts to help them.
She glances around with suspicion every now and then and keeps her hand close to her pocket. She stays for the length of the conversation, but retires soon after.
Toblen shakes his head, "I am sorry about your friend. I haven't heard of this Cragmaw castle, we are a little busy in town dealing with the Redbrand Ruffians, a group of thugs who have made Phandalin their home recently." He thinks and shakes his head at the mention of Iarno, "Can't say the name Iaron rings any bells either. No wizards have come into town recently at all. Maybe the Redbrands got him first. Feel free to ask around though, perhaps someone else had heard more than I have."
Toblen and much of the tavern have a hearty laugh at Paul's descriptions. "Well that does sound like an adventure." You feel the mood in the tavern lighten and although most of the eyes are still on you, it is a curious and friendly stare. A few catch your eyes. In one corner, an old farmer is sitting and talking in worried tones to an elf covered in mining dust. At the other end of the bar from you, a dwarven woman dressed in a fine homemade shawl nods in agreement to Toblen's description of the Redbrand Ruffians. Sitting near the bar, is a human woman and a young boy who looks like Toblen. The boy excitedly waves at Salty Paul, awed by his story.
