Vaike cleaves through one massive root, but the opening is not quite big enough to get everyone through without difficulty.
The Verdant Lady seems shaken by breaking free of the aboleths' psychic control. However, she is still concious enough to know that these things have been a corrupting influence. Surging across the room with empowered speed from the water under her, she draws a metal rod from her robes and grabs for aboleth2. (Melee spell attack 29, aboleth save 13) The aboleth writhes and screeches before imploding into a minute portal. Exhausted, The Verdant Lady looks to the other aboleth, her elemental ally raging, "Leave. Now."

The water elemental rises from the pool and charges against Chuul4: 27 for 11, 16 for 8. Ending it's assault, the elemental envelops the chuul (STR Save: 18). The elemental condenses, trying to crush the crustacean: 14 damage.
Chuul1 releases the unconscious Perrin and stands by the entrance once it notices the newcomers.
Kyrthas' axe finishes the work Vaike started slices an opening large enough for reinforcements.
Chuul3 charges for the Verdant Lady: 9 for 10, 17 for 15. It has a clumsy start and is intercepted by a flank of the water elemental who receives the attack (resistant to non-magic dmg).
The Verdant Lord moves to accompany his wife, taking hold of the forked rod she possesses.
With that, we are at the top of the order with Gridolpho and his master plan. He has caught up with everyone and seems wild-eyed at the noise just behind him. It's a violent white noise, like brushing against stone or running water...
