Sennet will make his way to the front of the pack, his Glaive out, ready to take on whatever get's in his way, however, the deeper they get, he realizes that he cannot see very well ((No Darkvision)) and will suggest someone else go ahead of him, since the blind leading the blind is not a good strategy.
((I initially thought first, but I assume the Underdark is.. well dark. And Sennet cannot see in the Dark, so he'll be 2nd in the single file marching order, or 2nd next to whoever is first in the double marching order. I'm also OK with a quick pace at the start.))
Kel will stick close to Finn in the marching order. It'd probably be better to go by 2's so it'd be easier to keep an eye out. If we want to see, they can cast Light, or they can hold off on that if we'd rather not draw attention - they'll leave that up to the party consensus. They do push for a quickened pace, though. They will also let the group know that they can create water, if needed, but it will cost a spell slot that might be useful later.
And so with Sarith at the lead, you all make haste toward Sloopludop, as you hear the screams of the drow matron and her coterie not far behind you, realizing their prized possessions were getting away! Lucky for you the trip to Sloopludop is mostly uneventful, though in the dark and dimly lit passages you can't help but worry just a little bit about what might be around the next bend. Skittering and clacking sounds occasionally echo around you, making your hairs stand on end at times, but then, coming around a bend, Shushan getting rather excited now about being about an hour or so from his home, you are met by a kuo-toa patrol, consisting of eightkuo-toaled by akuo-toa monitor.

The strange, fish-like creatures spread out around your group, weapons at the ready. They see Shushan and begin babbling in Undercommon to the effect of: "
Which side are you on? Deep Father? Sea Mother?"
To which Shushan has no good response. This only angers the other kuo-toa and they slowly start shrink the perimeter around your group.
Finn doesn't understand what the creatures are saying, but the fact that they have weapons drawn and ready says to him that the situation is dire. As he tightens his grip on his shield and settles in a wide, defensive stance, he slowly lowers his hand to the hilt of his battleaxe. "Can anyone understand what the hells they're saying?" He asks, throwing his eyes from one kuo-toa to another in anticipation of what is to come

(We are in initiative. Are you holding an action or just going defensive?)
Shushan glances over, Ulbeth would understand them most likely as well, and softly replies: "They want to know whether we are of the Deep Father or the Sea Mother. But I've never heard of the Sea Mother..."
Sorry, yes. Finn doesnt want to start shit that doesn't need to be started so he will ready an attack with his battleaxe and if the kuo-tua make to attack he will attack the closest one to him
Sennet grips his Glaive tighter, whipping his head around as he peeks at all the creatures around him. "Nuh uh, I'm not about to be an offering today. Stay back!" Sennet shouts out at the strange creatures as he readies a swing on the first one to try and grab him.
((Readying an attack on the first enemy creature to try and grab me.))
Kel can't understand the creatures, but they don't want to attack without cause, either. "We're just tryin' to get out of here," they offer the fish folk, gesturing back towards the way they'd come. "We'd make for poor offerings, if that's your intention; not a one of us is from the sea. Terrible land creatures, we are," they say, trying to think on their feet despite the exhaustion dragging at their heels. "Please, we're just trying to get home." Even as they try to persuade the fish folk to let them go, they prepare Thunderwave should the creatures attack.
Crowfell will observe how they react to each name they say. Whether one is said with reverence and the other hatred. Observing their clothing for any symbols, while simultaneously forming a response.

Frustrated at the lack of action on your group's part so far, the monitor gives the signal to attack and launches into the fray himself. As they begin to attack though, they seem to be aiming for disabling, not killing outright...
The monitor strikes first at Finn: Attack: 15 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll. for a bite attack, Attack: 11 Damage: 6 and Attack: 17 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.for two unarmed strikes.
The other kuo-toa attack people in singular fashion...
#1 to Sennet: Attack: 21 Damage: 3 to try and bite
#2 to Kel: Attack: 7 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll. to try and bite
#3 to Ulbeth: Attack: 17 Damage: 3 to try and bite
#4 to Buppido: Attack: 6 Damage: 3 to try and bite
#5 to Eldeth: Attack: 16 Damage: 5 to try and bite
#6 to Prince: Attack: 15 Damage: 4 to try and bite
#7 to Jimjar: Attack: 16 Damage: 5 to try and bite
Buppido, the Prince and Jimjar take a few modest hits but are still standing strong and lash back out at the attackers, managing to hit them with modest attacks. The others join in except Stool who is cowering behind Shuushan. (Summarizing for speed since there's so many! :) You may all use your actions in response now)

Crowfell will stick near whichever melee fighter wants him at their side.
