Sozi's attack missed, while Elyria's shot hits Creature 3 causing it to drop to the ground, dead. 

Creature 4 tries to get free of the vines entagling it.

Creature 5 continues forward attacking Aurelius with both of its claws.

Creature 1 tries to break free of the entaglement spell.

Creature 4 remains restrained while Creature 1 gets free.  It advances forward towards Aurelius.

Two of Flynt's shots hit their mark.  Creature 1 is still up but heavily wounded. 

Acorn remains in place behind Elyria.

The paladin will aim his first strike at Creature 1.  If it survives, his second slash will also target the unfortunate mini-cyclops.  If it succumbs, Aurelius will turn his martial attention to Creature 5.

"Begone!" he will bellow at the remaining creatures.  "You cannot win this fight!  Only death and the underworld await you here."

Aurelius first blow misses, but the second hits, felling Creature 1.

Sozi stays put. 

Triserla maintains concentration on the entangle spell.  She stays put. 

(Elyria is up.) 

Elyria swiftly moves into hiding again (Bonus action Hide: 26 ) before firing another arrow at the closest standing aberration.
Longbow: 24 Damage: 5 (Go with first roll if hiding unsuccessful)

Round 4

Elyria hits Creature 5 which appears only slightly wounded. 

Creature 4 again attempts to break free of the entanglement. 
(STR Save vs DC 12: 12)

 It finally breaks free and moves forward alongside Creature 5.

Creature 5 attacks Aurelius with its claws.

(Flynt is up.) 

Flynt fires on creature 5.

Acorn charges forward and attacks Creature 5 and then blinks back again behind Elyria.

Acorn's attack misses.

(Aurelius up next.  Then Sozi, Triserla, and Elyria.)

Aurelius spins around to face Creature 5, ducking under its clumsy claws.  He slashes at its knees, then thrusts his longsword upward, hoping to catch it just under the ribs.  The paladin grunts with the effort of avoiding attacks, fighting back, and simultaneously keeping his spell active in his mind.

First Longsword Attack: 25 Damage: 10 + 3 fire damage

Second Longsword Attack: 21 Damage: 8 + 8 fire damage

Round 5

Both of Aurelius' attacks strike Creature 5 and it looks heavily wounded.

Sozi dashes forward and claws at Creature 5. She then immediately blinks back to the spot she was before.

Sozi's attack hits but Creature 5 is still up.

Triserla stays put. 

(Elyria is now up.)

Creature 5 is finally felled by Elyria's bow shot. 

Creature 4 now tries to attack Aurelius.

(Flynt is now up. Only Creature 4 remains, and it appears unharmed.) 

As Aurelius dodges the swipes from creature 4 it opens up a window of opportunity for Flynt to strike. Not one to waste a moment like this Flynt launches another volley of bolts.

Flynt hits Creature 4 twice, dealing heavy damage but not killing it.

Acorn again charges at one of the aberrations, attacking and then blinking back to its place near Elyria.

Aurelius will attempt to end the battle, attacking the final creature, putting it out of its misery.

Aurelius first blow hits and manages to kill the last of the creatures.

Triserla says, "You guys did great! I knew you'd be the right people for this."  She steps up to where Elyria is standing. "Keep your eyes open though, we've certainly seen others."

"Yes, good work, time to enter the ruins then. Be careful Aurelius, I have the sense this was only rabble in comparison to what awaits us inside." Elyria says, nocking another arrow, ready to follow Aurelius inside.
