"Oh, some elves are certainly idiots Rahkeshi, just not all of us all the time." Elyria says smiling, with a wink to the half-orc. "I'm not a particularly god-fearing elf myself but I certainly revere the nature around us. It's understandable to turn to your goddess when your people have been wronged that way. If I'm not mistaken Luthic is a goddess of healing and could be seen as relative force of stability and reason within orc society, which would seem like a good thing to me." Elyria continues, laying a hand on Rahkeshi's shoulder, trying to comfort her friend. "Whatever you said back there my friend I certainly won't judge you for it."
Rahkeshi's smile widens as Elyria rests her hand on her shoulder. "Thank you Elyria. I sometimes worry about my anger. I call for death and then..."
She raises her left arm, the new bracelet made of thorns encircling her wrist. "Then this. I'm almost afraid what it might do. It's magic." Here she looks at the others with a bit of a grin. "I guess that's probably obvious. You saw how I got it."
"I have yet to see your anger becoming a problem Rahkeshi."Elyria says smiling, looking at the thorny bracelet. "What kind of magic do you think it holds?" She asks curiously.
Rahkeshi shrugs at the question. "I really can't concentrate enough as we travel to figure it out. It seems to hold charges maybe... Well, when we get a chance to stop I'll spend some time with it."
"Yes, we should really consider resting soon. We must be fully prepared to face any giants and dragons ahead." Elyria says, looking to the others for their opinion.
Rahkeshi nods. "We should get as far as we can, but should probably find a place to stop before it gets too dark." She smiles. "Then we can have some time to relax."

"Yes, that would be...nice." Elyria says smiling back at Rahkeshi, picking up pace again to find a good spot to rest at nightfall. Survival to find good spot to rest: 24 rolled with advantage if help is given, otherwise go with first roll.
As the pace quickens, Rahkeshi stops just smiling at Elyria and realizes the quiet monk is still walking along with them. "So Bryant, whatever happened with your cult... or group... that you came from? Are they still just wherever you left them? Were they upset that you left?"
As the sun gets lower in the sky, she does what she can to help Elyria pick out a spot to rest for the night. (Providing the HELP action.)
Assuming Elyria finds a good spot to rest before nightfall she turns to the team members still with her. "Alright, let's stay here for the night." She says plainly and makes herself comfortable by a tree before breaking out some rations and her waterskin. "I can take first and second watch, don't need sleep as such." She says looking at the others, frequently glancing over at Rahkeshi.
Once the campsite is found, Rahkeshi haphazardly drops most of her equipment near a tree in the general vicinity of where Elyria was at. "Give me a bit to concentrate," she says, not really directed to anyone. She then moves away, finding an out-of-the way spot, clear of brush, where a bit of smooth bare stone is exposed.
She sits down, legs crossed, closing her eyes in concentration. Now and then she opens her eyes, looking at the bracelet on her wrist, touching the thorns. She passes the time without a sound for nearly an hour. (Essentially using the 'short rest' method to identify a magic item.)
She finally stands, looking about to see what everyone is up to.

After finishing her simple meal Elyria finds a hidden spot with a good view of their surroundings and goes into sentry mode, accompanied by Aelric, watching from a tree branch above. Stealth: 24 Perception: 17

(Perception: 19 vs Elyria's Stealth)
Not seeing Elyria anywhere, Rahkeshi frowns. As Aurelius already seems to be trying to get his rest, she wanders towards the edge of their campsite without a word. Making a motion with her staff, she whispers in Druidic, "Leave no trace," as she casts Pass Without Trace. For anyone watching, the half-orc then disappears and a small grey fox appears where she was. The fox runs into the forest, quickly hiding amongst the foliage.
(Stealth: 18)
After a few minutes the fox is a several hundred yards from the campsite. She rests for a moment, listening to her surroundings to detect anything nearby.
The fox, hearing the somewhat distant giggling, takes a few minutes to circle the campsite, watching for any signs of danger. She then returns to the tree where she heard the sounds and quickly scrabbles up the trunk, sharp claws gaining a foothold in the bark. Seeing Elyria, the silvery-grey fox stares at the elf.
"Hey there, you're a cute one." Elyria says, leaning towards the small grey fox and gently petting it, well aware it is Rahkeshi in her wild shape. "Stay vigilant Aelric." She says to the owl. "I need some time with this one." Elyria then assumes the shape of a red fox and looks the silver fox in the eyes for a while. The red fox then leaps down to the ground and runs off into the forest, stopping briefly at the edge of the glen to see if the silver fox would follow.

Aurelius is open to the idea of resting, with an appropriate watch set, of course.

(I vote since it's been 5 days since we heard from the DM that we get an automatic long rest ;)
(Agree - we assume no events until we stop for the night. Can continue RP and hopefully DM will be back soon.)

Aurelius studies Elyria for a moment, then shrugs and says, "Very well, wake me when you are ready to meditate, and I will take the next watch."
