Autumnleafcontinues fluttering in the air, occasionally strumming at her Lyre as the group approaches the tree, idly looking around the carnival grounds, before gasping a little, her face lighting up as she spots a half-elf carrying a box of something.
His outfit clearly marks him as carnival staff, though by the hint of frown lines and narrowed, grey-green eyes, he doesn't seem to be sharing the joy. His grey hair and slight lean also speak to his advanced age, though his half elf blood has clearly assisted him in aging somewhat gracefully.
She looks at the group, then back at the individual, putting her lyre away and flitting off in his direction, circling a bit behind to try and sneak up on him.

She, unfortunately, cannot contain her excitement and is quite audibly giggling as she slowly flutters up behind him, the fake wings still strapped to her front not assisting any as they smack "Flap" with her motion, smacking together a bit.
Inif bows politely to the small tree and utters "Greetings friend" in rudimentary Sylvan. "I suppose, most simply, we are here for a ride and bit of perspective. I will listen to yours while I await mine." Inif moves into the line. "What is the 'Witchlight Monarch'?"
Cyris turns at the sound of the flapping wings and giggles behind him as his wrinkled face shifts into an almost smile, he says, “Well well. If it isn’t our little Leaf. Back to play more tricks I see? So what brings you ‘round the Witchlight again?”
To Inif’, the sentient tree’s already big grin widens even further and it replies back in Sylvan with his slow booming voice, “Ah!! The language of the land! Welcome welcome!”Then switching back to common for the others around, adds, “The Monarch? The Monarch is the king or queen of the day’s events! Crowned by none other than our own Misters Witch and Light! Ah,” now his voice changes into an almost whisper, but with a trees voice is still clearly audible to all around, “I really shouldn’t say this… but did you know that they aren’t the carnival’s original owners, y’know. They’re not even from the Feywild! But it matters not an inch! We’re all one big, happy family here!” Then remembering his place continues, “Anyway, the Monarch is the person who improved the carnival’s mood the most during the night! Stay positive and polite and maybe it could be you!”
Then looking to Giovani adds, “Step right up! For a single punch our wonderful dragonflies will give you a tour of the entire carnival!”
Inif nods politely as the tree speaks. "Apologies, I am Inif' Itum. I have traveled from the plane of Limbo to find this carnival, as my path goes through it. And you name is?"
When he mentions the original owners, Inif's interests deepens. "If Mr. Witch and Light are not the carnival's original owners, how did they come into its possession? I'm trying to piece together more information on the carnival. I only have come across minimal accounts in my research."
Autumnleafpouts for a moment at having given herself away, then shrugs and flies up to Cyris, giving him a smooch on the forehead."For several reasons I've come 'round again, and stirring things up is something from which I can never abstain."She turns pointing to the others in line for the Dragonfly ride."Come come old friend and meet new faces, I've made more friends in distant places."Then she starts flying back to the others, pausing halfway between to make sure she's being followed.

The Tree relies, "Call me Northwind! Though some day I'll be an old ent, for now I'm enjoying helping the carnival! Though I don't know where Misters Witch and Light came from. They have been here for a while now. Though, and I shouldn't really tell, The carnival can’t run without Mister Witch’s pocket watch—I hope he never loses it! He carries it with him everywhere! And there’s nothing Mister Light likes more than a sea of smiling faces—if the carnival’s happy, he’s happy! They really are great for the place!"
Cyris then follows Autumnleaf, just setting the box he'd be carrying down on the sidelines, saying to himself, "Some other young fool can pick this up. So Leaf, show me these friends of yours."
Speedwell continues to stand in line, contentedly observing his surroundings while he waits for his turn to ride on the dragonflies. His ears twitch towards the various sounds in nearly 360-degrees, and his Easter egg blue eyes move from creature to creature as he observes. He watches as a human brother and sister run giggling with each other towards the carousel ride - the brother slightly in front of the sister. He notices an elf boy walking with one hand holding an ice cream cone and the other holding his mother’s hand while his mother and father point at the feasting orchard excitedly. He watches the people walking to and fro and just soaks up this moment of unadulterated enjoyment. It’s a feeling he doesn’t get to enjoy often, so he just marinates in it while it lasts.
Autumnleafflies up to the others, clearing her throat somewhat dramatically."Tender folk of friendly bearing, an introduction, mind the swearing. My old friend Cyrus, of curmudgeonly bearing, meet Speedwell, Giovanni, and Inif, good companions of great daring."Then she curtsies before placing her small fists on her hips and smiling brightly at the group.

Speedwell looks towards Cyrus as Autumnleaf introduces everyone, and he nods as his name is called. “It’s nice to meet you, Cyrus. Do you work here, then?”
"Time is the observation of movement; it is not wielded by a timepiece." Inif puzzles on the thought of the importance of the watch. "There must be some magic there, 'lest it come from Mechanus. How does the carnival 'run' on the watch?"
Inif waits in line patiently for his turn on the dragonflies. He peers to see how well the dragonflies are trained and what skill, if any, their passengers impart on controlling the animal.
Cyris replies in a scratchy older voice, “Yeap, workin’ here for the past five rotations or so. Leaf here, despite her ‘ppearance was one o th few to smile at me from time ta time. What brings ya back this way?”
Northwind thinks for a second before slowly saying with a grin, “Ya know.. I’ve never really thought about it. I just know the watch is very important! He checks it a lot, and always uses it when we set up and take down things. But I’m always pretty busy during that time clearing out all the trees and plants to make room for everything.” Just as he finishes he looks to the dragonflies landing and adds, “Ah! And here’re your rides! Red here will punch your cards and you’re good to go!”At this, the squirrel scampers down and bites into each of your tickets to mark one off, taking a extra big bite out of Giovani’s after being distrusted, and you’re then shown to your mounts.
Once you are sat in your saddles and fastened in, all four of your dragonflies head up about 20 feet and begin to follow their normal route around the park. ((No archery as displayed above… sorry)). Suddenly less than a minute into your leisurely ride you suddenly hear shouts of alarm from the lily pads where you just boarded your rides. Looking back you see a middle-aged dwarven woman hanging on for dear life as it seems her belt wasn’t fastened and her dragonfly has taken off in a hurry, flying straight up. ((Nat 1 above. Lol)) Looking back down you also see a well dressed half-elfin man quickly backing away into the crowd, and it almost seems as if his hat goes through one of the street signs on the corner.
Autumnleaf, giving it a moment of thought, takes up the reigns and tries to coax the dragonfly in the direction of the flailing woman, hoping to get underneath her.

Inif marvels at the skill Speedwell and Autumnleaf are able to control their mounts. He grimaces as Giovani fights with the dragonfly a bit, a bit puzzled at his suspicious behavior. "Try a gentler touch" he calls out to Giovani, while he also attempts to control his mount and move to aid the woman.
It is evident his companions will probably be able to assist sooner, Inif does not crowd the rescue. Instead, he attempts and conjure a spectral hand to steady the woman in her saddle.

12 Inif + Leaf animal handling
Autumnleaf and Inif take control of their dragonflies and head over to the out of control dwarf. Inif's hand is just enough to keep her from falling, and with the two of them together they are able to circle around the spooked dragonfly and calm it down, leading it back to the lily pad landing below.
Giovani is not quite as adept at riding flying beasts, and his dragonfly seems to take no notice of his urging to turn back, instead simply following on it's normal path, while Speedwell slowly begins to coax both his and Giovani's back towards the others at the landing.
Autumnleafpats the Dwarven woman on the shoulder, fluttering around her for a moment once they've all gotten back on the ground."All's well, all's well, you had a spill but no one fell."
