As you are all escorted outside of the staff area you hear the light picking of a lute near you. Once the guards go back through the briar wall you see a familiar gnome bard leaning against the wall smiling at you, who says with a chuckle, "So you want to help out? I knew you would! But accusing Witchlight of stealing? Ah well. Perhaps it's time to find what you've lost?"
Inif smiles at the gnome bard, somewhat relieved. "Yes, we wish to move forward, not get turned around. Please tell us, what does Mr. Light know he is not telling? He mentioned 'forces beyond our control'. Will finding what we've lost help?"
Tumblestrum smiles and pushes herself forward, beginning to walk through the carnival, assuming the group follows. She then answers Inif saying, "Anyone who sneaks into the carnival without a ticket is robbed of something precious. Whatever is stolen always finds its way to Prismeer." Adding with a knowing grin, "Perhaps you have heard the name?"
Though it doesn't really matter much, I think the carnival is supposed to be happening in the Material Plane. Though the carnival itself is Fey.
"Perhaps it's time you found your way there then?" Tumblestrum says as she leads you back into the Hall of Illusions. The mime at the entrance just watches you pass blinking as you do. Walking through the Hall you all see your youthful reflections following behind Tumblestrum who looks exactly the same in each mirror. She then stops in a mirror showing you all as you are now and says, "Everything you seek and more lies beyond this mirror. If you mean to step through."
At the moment the mirror just shows everyone as they are, not in the future or past like some of the other mirrors. Tumblestrum is waiting to see how you all respond at this point.
Autumnleaf thumps into the mirror as Tumblestrum gasps and then giggles. "Sorry!!"She says. "I didn't know you were that keen!"She then looks at the mirror says, "Hither, thither, here and there; wander yonder, show me where."As she finishes the rhyme mists swirl in the mirror blotting out your reflections. She then smiles and says, "Off you go!"
"Coming back is a bit tougher. But I'm sure you'll find a way,"she replies, adding cryptically, "Mind the Rule of Three: future, present, past. Find the alicorn and free the dormant queen at last.” She then watches as you all enter the portal.
Let me know if there is anything else, or I'll just go ahead and assume everyone goes through and get a post up tomorrow once everyone goes through.

Inif mouths the words alicorn and dormant queen at Autumnleaf quizzically as if to ask if she recognizes the names. Inif considers if the names are familiar in his own studies. "There really is just so much to know, but often experience is the only teacher."

Inif centers himself and steps into the portal to Prismeer.
Autumnleaf, with a rare frown, says,"Zybilna is the Queen of Prismeer, but a Dormant Queen? I am displeased with what that seems to mean." She shakes her head and shrugs, then darts into the mirror.

If you think my puns are bad, I'll remind you, my profile pic says otherwise.
As each of you just touch the swirling mirror you are immediately pulled through the rest of the way and thrown from a small hole in the air where you maintain a small bit of momentum, causing you each to just barely keep your footing, sans Autumnleaf of course, who instead comes out spinning, her twin sets of wings flapping in the air.
You now stand at the edge of a raised and broken causeway under a hazy, twilit sky. The causeway, which is built from pale stones that glow faintly from within, towers over the surrounding landscape, but large sections of it have crumbled away. The parts that remain in place are separated by large gaps where portions have collapsed.
A fog-shrouded swamp spreads out below you in all directions, and up from its murk wafts the smell of rotting plants. Also rising from the swamp is the music of nature—a discordant symphony of croaking frogs and singing birds.
The highway is 20 feet wide and 100 feet above the swamp. The section supporting you is west of the Slanty Tower on the map (which has been updated in our campaign page). Large, colorful shelf mushrooms cling to the lower half of each support pillar, and there appear to be hand or food grips carved into each pillar. The marshland surrounding the pillars is hidden under a 10-foot-thick blanket of fog that heavily obscures everything in it.
Autumnleafhuffs at the sudden aerial tumble and adjusts the faux wings still affixed to her front as she looks around."A swamp is not what I expected. Any thoughts on where to go once we're all collected?"She turns to the others with the second sentence, head tilted in question.

Inif looks out across the new expanse. "Fascinating. It would seem we need to climb down to proceed further, except for Autumnleaf of course. I have some rope, though I admit I'm not fond of climbing..."

Before speaking a word, I think Speedwell would want to immediately attempt to get the lay of the land. We are 100' above the swamp. Would his knowledge of various wildernesses help him to determine if the swamp is emitting any kind of noxious gases? He would also want to look to see if he could identify any safe routes off of the highway.
He would also be looking for any signs of immediate danger.
After looking around, Speedwell turns to Inif and says, "I don't know that 50' of rope is going to be enough. We could possibly combine my rope with yours to get the length we need, but that is still taking a big risk to climb down that far." Speedwell takes a moment to consider his own idea. "Maybe we could tie knots into the rope to make it less likely to slip and fall." (And maybe persuade the generous DM to give everyone advantage on any athletics rolls required to get down such a rope...?)

Inif replies to Tumblestrum, "We have heard it mentioned before by Kettlesteam. He even suggested stealing Mr. Light's wand as ransom to learn the way. The way Autumnleaf describes it, is sounds like a fairy tale but perhaps no so fetched as we are in the Feywild.
