"We will do whatever is necessary to carry out our mission, but you are quite right Iyszor, it is none of your concern. I take it you are either unwilling to share or simply not privy to information about in which building we will find the visitors then?" The young noble messages back, realizing there was no real information to be gained from the observer.
"You've hardly shared much useful information of your own. Iyszor says this much... at one time, the visitors were in both buildings [you get the impression it means both the college and the university] but it has been more than a day now since I have observed anything of note. Others have gone in to investigate. Iyszor has seen no one leave."

"Yes, well, alas, what can you expect from simple creatures, it is hard to provide someone as informed as yourself with useful information."The young noble messages, ready to end the telepathic conversation.
((Raq, and Cosette I think, stopped advancing once aware that Aubrey was in some kind of communication with the thing. Raq was still scanning the area to try to spot where it was so as to be prepared in case it attacked, but he was letting Aubrey do the talking thing and waiting to see how that turned out before advancing further or such.))
The creature makes no more attempts to speak with Aubrey.
From a distance, Raq and Cosettesee the cluster of eyeballs peek out from behind a distance bush... then slowly retreat back into hiding.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
After fully disconnecting his telepathic link with the observer, the young noble gathers the team to brief them. "The many-eyed aberration was willing to exchange some information, nothing too useful I will admit, it was immensely arrogant or perhaps simply rightfully confident, hard to tell which. It divulged that the visitors are still here in one of these buildings and that they have managed to change something which has brought others here, other aberrations I would assume, to look for them. If we are lucky those we encounter are weakened by previous battles. We could hunt down the hiding observer but I would suggest leaving it for now as it is not hostile and might still be a source of information and instead proceed as planned and explore the House of Glass and Mirrors."Aubrey suggests with a calm and confident tone.
If the team agrees, Aubrey would send Furvus ahead into the magical college to scout for threats.
Cosette's head tilts a bit in curiosity. She wondered if it was specifically looking at/watching her and Raq, and not the others, or if it was just because they were closer. Besides being a little uneasy to has a creature at their back, she was fine to continue to the House of Glass and Mirrors.
Turning back to the House of Glass and Mirrors, the party passes through the burned off doors and enters a long, straight hallway. The hall is 20' wide and runs the length of the building. Another set of doors, closed, is visible in the distance at the end of the hall. To either side, doors open at regular intervals and there appears to be a larger intersection of hallways at the middle of the building.
Immediately in front of you, in the vestibule just inside the outer doors, lies the toppled and broken statue of an elf.

Raqisat signals the party to pause a moment. He knows Aubrey has Furvus scouting ahead so the topped statue should be no surprise but Raqisat wants to eyeball the area himself before approaching it too closely. He's curious if this area seems like a likely spot for a statue to even be - Does it fit the general decor of the vestibule? Are there other statues in sight, toppled or no? Is this an artistic statue or is it altogether too perfect? One broken statue in an abandoned building isn't that ominous unless it's a statue that never should have been in the building in the first place.
Perception: 13
If nothing about the statue sets off alarm bells for Raqisat then he will advance up to it cautiously. He'll examine it a bit closer to try to determine if it was broken recently of it dust covers even the breaks - It could help determine if there are others nearby if it is a recent break.
Raqisat, the statue seems entirely out of place. There are no other statues in sight and there is no base or pedestal for the statue to have been mounted upon. It looks like it was just dropped here in the middle of the vestibule. The statue itself is free of dust... It seems to be a new arrival.
The rest of the vestibule's design is elaborate, with intricate frescoes painted on the ceiling depicting scenes of mythical creatures and the cosmic dance of celestial bodies. Though faded and cracked, the work that is still visible is master-caliber. Shafts of light filter through broken stained glass windows, casting fragmented rainbows across the floor and illuminating the swirling dust motes suspended in the air, stirred by your steps. The floor is a mosaic of colored marble tiles, their vibrant colors.
Past the vestibule, however, the colors and artwork end. The hallway beyond seems drab and utilitarian, with brick walls and a more muted tile floor. The still blazing torches set on the walls (magic?) are the only feature that sets the hallway apart from a dull office building.

"This doesn't seem right," Raqisat notes to the others.
"Doesn't really fit the decor, does it?" he asks to Cosette, seeking a second opinion from one with more taste as well as some expertise in how artworks generally suit their surroundings. (Figure that is kind of an archeologist thing....)
"Could be the ones we were sent her to find, eh? Run into some trouble of some kind... Maybe a trap?" With that thought occurring to him Raqisat will look to see if there are any signs of a trap of some kind - trip wire or pressure plate or anything that perhaps an unlucky elf missed? It could still just be a statue that ended up here some way, some how but best be wary...
((use prior perception roll of 13 or if you want a new one to look specifically for a trap then: 10 -- OOPS, that 10 was rolled on the wrong character sheet. Raqisat perception, if needed: Nat 1 for a 5))
Raqisat, the vestibule appears 100% free and clear of traps.

Grugga is captivated by the masterful artwork. "This is incredible... I haven't seen anything this nice in Bardstown outside the dinner we had with the Emperor." He whistles in appreciation of the quality of the frescoes. "No wonder the Emperor is so intent on retaking this city... imagine how much they lost... this is supposed to be one of the lesser colleges, to my understanding."
Grugga would like to attempt to figure out what some of the scenes represent, and how accurate the scientific pieces are (the celestial bodies, for example). He does not notice how out of place the statue is.
