Mordekai takes a moment of calm to create an illusion that all is well and that the shouting was a false alarm. Given that he and the rest of the group appear like other guards, he casts Minor Illusion to create the image of the woman who ran off (Does Mordekai get the sense that she's dead from his Hex spell?), and stands close to the illusion, attempting to give the impression to any new incoming enemies that he is in hushed conversation with her.
If any others do come running onto the scene, he'll hold a hand up placatingly (in a 'stand-down' sense), whilst appearing to keep his primary attention with the illusory Gish.
(Deception if needed, or applicable, to give new combatants at least a moment's hesitation! 32)
EDIT: Roll came out as a 24, but Mordekai's minimum deception D20 roll is 10, so count as a 26.
Kari waits for a few seconds looking around to see if any gith answer the alarm calls. If nothing happens she will run back to her group. If other gith start showing up she will act like she is looking for whoever killed this gish, make her way back to her party, and act like they are also searching for whoever killed the dragon. Either way, at some point she will look at Zendrak and ask "Which way?"

Mal will quickly go to the bodies and do a quick search of anything of interest, and then will drag them all to a corner to hopefully keep them out of the way.
Mal goes to the first body and does a quick search. Half-plate armor. Two handed sword. Both very good quality. She drags it into the corner, just behind the thick, though now scorched, tapestry hanging on the wall.
Meanwhile Mordekai crafts an illusion. The dead dragon and the dead Gith all remain, but the Gish leader now stands next to him. He readies himself to confuse any incoming.
Zendrak's rushes after Kari, barging through the door and into the next room. He runs up to her. "Which way?" she asks him, as no immediate threat is apparent. "Back down the hallway, towards that dead red dragon."

Mordekai, Mal, and Kurik stand in the room next to the long wide hallway. The air is filled with hazy smoke and the charred tapestries hanging from the wall still smoulder. The blood of the dead Gith decorates the floor, while Mordekai focus' on an interesting partial conversation with an illusionary Gish...ready to confuse anyone who comes along. Mal digs through another bodies pockets before dragging it towards the edge of the room and flipping the tapestry over it. The massive dead dragon body lays unmoving, steam rising from its bubbling blood that covers the floor.
All three of them hear the muffled sound of booted feet and clanking armor headed their way from the through the door and down the stairs where they'd come from a few moments before. Otherwise the place is silent.
Past the training hall and down a hallway, Zendrak points back towards the others as the location of the "pull" towards the Phylactery. He and Kari hear a sound from further down the hallway and around the corner. The distant creak of a door opening issues, and a voice shouts in a commanding tone, "Report!". Another door can be heard opening from the same direction, "The shout was not from us...it must have come from the training hall."
Everyone can take another action.

Mal whispers to the ones around them, "We need to join the others, there is no way to hide the damage that was done here. Move to the others so at least our party is not split up and hopefully Zendrak can continue to steer us in the direction we need to go."
At which point Mal will move to join the others not looking back and moving with determination.
Kari will head back toward the dragon, as the others come close she doesn't slow her stride. "Keep moving this way, make it look like we are looking for intruders. We need to find that Litch thing now!"
((I don't want to get too far ahead, but if everyone seems agreeable to moving quickly then I'll use my action to dash as far as everyone else can go, aiming for the other side of the dead dragon.))
The group simultaneously head towards each other. Mal, Mordekai and Kurik come into the training hall from one direction, and Zendrak and Kari from the other. The other hallway out of the training hallway that hasn't yet been explored is no longer empty. The group sees a Gith warrior here, in full plate with a silver sword. He stands in front of a small crowd of Gith children that appear to range from small children, up to teen agers. They huddle behind him with big eyes, and the warrior, places a hand out to his side, as if trying to hold the kids back, and stares at the intruders...but seems to wait to see what you plan to do.

Knew I should have taken that silver sword and at least carry it around, Mal thinks as she sees the warrior guarding the children. Speaking over her shoulder to the guarding Gith as she follows Kari's direction, "Stay back, intruders likely to move through here if we can't stop them."
The warrior watches the four of them with steady eyes. Mal isn't sure her ruse has fooled him, but he makes no move to challenge her assertions or confront her, and in fact she seems a glimmer or relief that she's given him some sort of excuse to just hold back with the kids.
The group strides back out into the hallway with the dead bodies and the large dead dragon. Zendrak motions vaguely down the hallway. The sound of booted armored feet coming up the stairs feels very near.
Zendrak says, "This way...." and hustles down the wide hallway towards the dead dragon. Everyone follows with a hop in their step. As you move down the hallway there is a marked increased in temperature. The air goes from normal and cool ...and over the next 30 feet becomes sweltering. Sweat begins staining clothes as a dry heat seems to permeate the air here...leaving your view with almost a wavering motion. Staying in this heat in your armor for too long is going to start making you light headed, but you figure you've probably got a good hour in you before you start feeling significant ill effects.
The wide hallway opens up into a 70 foot wide round room with a domed ceiling. The dead dragon body is here. The floor is littered with red dragon scales.
On the left side of the room, a stone arch set with glowing red crystals is embedded in the back wall of an alcove set in the side of the room. Rising from the floor about ten feet in front of the arch is a 3-foot-high pedestal made of red crystal with a small hole in the top.
Straight across, the 20-foot wide passage continues on. It runs for another fifty feet and then opens up into another room. From here you can see the red glow from a pool of lava 30 feet long, and 10 feet wide. From your angle you can see a couple of red-speckled dragon eggs sitting in the lava pool.
To the right, a 20-foot wide passage goes away and runs about 40 feet before opening up into another chamber. That way you see a 20-foot-wide, 4-foot-high pile of coins, jewels, and art objects lying on the floor. Two 20-foot-tall, gilded statues of dragons of an unknown type stand along a wall.
Zendrak quickly motions to the right passage, "That way!"
The sound of the door slamming open and the tapestry being shoved aside can be heard behind you....

Mals eyes linger on the eggs for a bit too long before she jumps over to the crystal and looks into the hole. If she sees anything in it she will attempt to grab it and then run in the direction Zendrak is pointing. She will wait at the entrance while everyone runs past scooping up a couple of red dragon scales and then once everyone is through the opening she will yell back to the approaching Gith. "Hurry quick, they are attacking the eggs!"
Kari feels slightly comfortable, odd as that is, but moving together with a 'guard' group again pokes at memories of her past. She efficiently follows Zendrak, ready to bark out fake orders to her companions about finding intrudes if need be. She shows no interest in the dragon eggs aside from a long stare as she keeps moving past.
Mal rushes to the crystal pedestal and looks into the hole, but it appears quite empty. It seems like it should hold something, but whatever is there, is missing. She leaps over it and rushes after the group shouting about eggs as you head towards the piles of treasure.
The 20-foot wide passage goes away and runs about 40 feet before opening up into another chamber. You enter the room and see a 20-foot-wide, 4-foot-high pile of coins, jewels, and art objects lying on the floor. Two 20-foot-tall, gilded statues of dragons of an unknown type stand along a wall. As you run along, your feet crunch over a plethora of red dragon scales that lay discarded all about this area. Sweat trickles down your foreheads from the extreme heat.
From this large naturally shaped cavern, a ten foot wide hallway runs to the left about 60 feet before ending in a large steel door, and to the right, a twenty foot wide passage runs about thirty feet before opening up into another large cavern. This cavern has yet another huge pile of treasure heaped up in it, but this pile has the additions of two red dragons crouched upon it. They are crouched and wary, hearing the sounds of alarms...their eyes track the group as you come into view of each other, but the beasts don't immediately move to attack.
Much to your chagrine, Zendrak points to the two dragons and the hoard they sit upon. "It's there...somewhere in their hoard.....I can sense it."

Kari pauses and speaks in a low voice to her group. "How far do we want to try and keep up this ruse? Maybe we should say why we are actually here, but if they are guarding that litch thing on purpose I guess it won't make a difference."
"There is a chance they do not know they are guarding something so evil, but considering the destruction we have left in our wake, I doubt they will care. I can try shooting one of them again, but I doubt I have the chance with these two as I did with the other. We can attempt to bluff our way through but we have to decide now before anyone from behind us catches up. Possibly tell them that Al’chaia. told us to tell them to take flight as their are intruders outside." Mal quietly responds to Kari's inquiry.
"They won't care about our original purpose - whatever our intentions, they'll hear that we're trying to destroy something that's part of their treasure pile and rip our throats out. I think keeping up the ruse to persuade them to go join in the defence and chase down the intruders is our best bet. I'd offer to do the talking myself, but I only speak common."
Kari gives a slight nod and then turns to address the dragons, showing the most proper military respect that she can think of toward both great lizards. "My lords, the intruders have returned! They were spotted near the kitchens and by the children but we lost them. Please aid us in our search for them so we can destroy them once and for all!"
