Thom's consciousness fades... But no. NO! He's not done yet, he's not going to go out like this!

His eyes flutter open. He's woozy, but he's still a fighter!

((Thom at 1HP, and you have your action/bonus action/half move after standing!))

Thom snaps back into consciousness (barely), and out of the corner of his eye he sees the Prince ripping apart the creatures. He also sees Lia fall to the ground, looking similarly white as he did just a few moments ago, and still does for the most part. 

@Spider, are there any stirges within melee range of Thom including his potential half movement? If yes, then he will muster up any energy he has left to try and slash it. 

If not, he'd try and stabilize Lia. He'd lay down beside her and try and physically close any of the bite wounds. Or, are there still stirges on her body?

I will roll the attack as well as the stabilize so you have both!

Thom rolls to his feet and stumbles towards Stena, slashing at the stirge currently feeding on her, but missing.

((All the stirges that were going on 11 have been killed, so Stena gets a bit of a reprieve!))

Stena narrows her eyes at Buppido even as she hears the sounds of a waterfall...then Thom blocks her view and slashes drunkenly at the stirge on her.

Blinking rapidly, she attempts to focus on the creature sticking out of her and again tries to hold it steady as she hacks down at it. She sadly does no better than Thom.

Stena goes for the kill, but can't bring her weapon around to bear on the creature sucking  her  blood.

With Stool and Lex seemingly calming Derendil, Jimjar backs up to Buppido, and turning to kneel next to her, tries to do what he can for Lia.

He manages to staunch the wound, and continues to apply pressure.

Shuushar plucks the stirge feeding on him free, and he's left with one in each hand, his large fishy eyes rolling as he looks to Galingal and Sarith for guidance.

Derendil, coming back to himself is ashamed at his loss of control, and embraces Lex, sobbing loudly and asking for her forgiveness in Elvish.

The one remaining flying about Shuushar tries to bite him, and the two in his hands try to wriggle free.

The one on Stena drains her of blood, and now there's a pair of dwarves on the ground.

Lex awkwardly pats Derendil on the shoulder.

Lia breathes a bit easier as she's stabilized under Jimjar's care.

The one on the wing bites Shuushar and he gives a low groan, but manages to keep his grip on the other two.

(Lia is down but stable, right?).

Not wanting to risk stabbing Stena, Galingal kneels down beside her and grabs the feeding stirge and pulls it off of her.

For now he holds on tightly to it.

((You're not sure from your position, but can see Jimjar crouched over her 45 ft away from you, and he doesn't seem overly stressed. You also can't make it to Stena, without a dash to move through Shuushar, Sarith and Thom to reach her.))

Realizing he can’t make it to Stena with the remaining stirges still buzzing about Shuushar, Galingal raises his rapier and steps over to join the crowd.

He slashes up at the lone flying stirge.

Attack: 22 Damage: 9  

You pierce the one that had just bit Shuushar, and as you pull your rapier away and it's mouthparts pull free from his flesh, he gives a moan of relief.

Sarith grabs Shuushar's hand and slices the head off one of the stirges, the kuo-toa dropping the body as blood spatters him.

Stool extends a tendril and pats the Prince on the head too.

Buppido crawls past the prone Lia and Jimjar, straddles Eldeth, and plucks the stirge from Stena. "Oh, no you don't, you little bloodsucker."

((Shuushar is currently holding one, and Shuushar is holding one. Rest are dead or flown away.))

Thom picks up his body from the ground and notices that the stirges seem to have been destroyed minus the ones that Buppido and Shuushar are holding. He sees Jimjar helping Lia and so he stumbles over to Stena and tries to get her heart going again to get any remaining blood in her body to flow. 

If Stena was already stabilized, he'd do this to Eldeth.

Medicine 13

Stena shudders but seems to breath a bit easier.

Thom manages to get Stena stable to where she's not on the verge of death.

Eldeth stabilized on her own, and Jimjar's got Lia. The two stirges held by Shuushar and Buppido can be dispatched without issue.

((An embarrassing day for the dwarves, defeat by rocks and bugs. At least Eldeth managed to stabilize herself.))

Galingal slips his rapier back into its scabbard and takes a deep breath. That was too close. Once he's sure no more striges are coming and that the last ones in sight are dead, he moves over to Lia. He looks down at her quiet form for a moment, then kneels beside, reaching out and putting a hand on her shoulder.

"Vindecă-l pe acesta," he says.

His eyes close and energy ripples out of this fingers and into Lia's shoulder.

Cure Wounds on Lia: 11  

He then moves over to the two dwarves. Looking down at them it does cross his mind to let them live or die on their own. He's sure they've been planning something about him and Sarith. But he eventually decides they're too valuable still to risk losing. He kneels down and repeats the contact and words.

Cure Wounds on Stena: 6   and Cure Wounds on Eldeth: 9    

Once he sees the three of them waken from their near death, Galingal looks back around at the group and the narrow path they're still on.

"Should move before more come," Galingal says. "Find safe spot. Think camp night go to town tomorrow. Need strength in case town trouble."

Shuushar pads up to Thom, laying a fishy hand on his brow and Thom feels a cold wave wash away some of his pain. ((Regains 4 HP))

"Yes, rocks and fighting make much noise... Something may hear and come."

You listen, and can hear the large cavern over the body of water still echoing faintly with the sounds of battle and the ripples of the lake where it was disturbed by the falling rocks.

Stena revives with a start and tosses Buppido off of her if he hasn't already moved.

She'll feel the slightly healed puncture wounds as she rises unsteadily. She'll find Eldeth to make sure she is also okay.

She responds to Galingal's suggestion of waiting before venturing into town with,

"Probably for the best. Aye don't know how much help aye'd manage to give as aye am."

She looks at the slain bugs,

"Can we eat these? Preferably the ones not filled with meh blood."

Nature for eating stirge: 17

Stena, you know that they are strictly edible, in that their flesh is not poisonous, however, they can be vectors of disease, depending on who/what they fed on, so it is a bit of a gamble. A few bones ejected from Lex's pack seems to indicate that Stool found them perfectly palatable, if that means anything.

"Probably not hungry enough to risk catching something from these."

She moves to follow Galingal and the rest, leaving the little corpses.

Lia gasps and the life comes back into her. “Thank you”, she manages, to Galingal. “Wow, that was pretty hairy…”. She’s still a little in shock.
