Spotting the creature a moment after Stena does and trusting her first impression that this is an enemy, Galingal draws his rapier and rushes to the edge of the boat closest to the creature.
As he does, he feels the raven mark on his cheek flare with energy, an then a shimmering field of icy blue and black surrounds his body protectively.
When he reaches the edge of the boat, if ugly beastie is within melee range, he slashes out with his rapier.
If it's not close enough to hit, Galingal points his rapier at the creature and whispers "maksaa kuolleita." A somber gong sounds around the enemy.
Action: Either attack with Rapier: Attack: 6 Damage: 7 or casts Toll the Dead WIS Save DC14 or takes 4 necrotic or 10 necrotic if Stena had already caused damage with her attack.

Neth has been keeping his distance from the edge of the ship since his trip overboard. However, when he sees the party members attacking something he runs in to help. He sees the creature and immediately summons a tentacle from the deep to swipe at the creature.
Tentacle swipe 15 damage 8
Neth then focuses his thoughts on the creature freezing and wills ice and freezing air to collect around it. (Frostbite).

Neth's tentacle batters the creature as it tries to weather his cold. (CON: 9)
It swims to the side of the boat, calling something out in a harsh tongue.
@Lia:
You know it to be Abyssal, and it cries out "Blood and salt for the Prince of Demons!"
Grasping the edge of the boat, you feel it dip under its weight as it levers itself up to snap at Galingal, and then thrusts its wicked harpoon at him.
Ranador scurries into the cabin and peers out through a porthole. Jimjar and Buppido rush to flank Galingal, swinging at the creature with their weapons.
((Ah, that would have applied to his attacks vs Galingal, neither of which hit anyway, but thanks for the reminder. I was thinking movement speed reduction, but that's ray of frost.))

Lia almost staggers backwards at the sudden mental resilience of this seemingly brutish fish, but she manages to keep her footing, shaking her head, swaying and reeling a little at the retort…
Galingal is almost distracted by Lia communicating with the fishy-humanoid but after brushing an attack from its harpoon to the side and narrowly jumping back from its sharp teeth, he's not about to confuse it with a friend.
Galingal stabs forward with his rapier, once, and then before fish-man can react, he stabs forward again.
Sensing the second thrust is going wide, Galingal closes his eyes for the briefest of moments, picturing the raven in his mind. A ripple of energy flicks from the raven on his cheek to his rapier.
Channel Divinity - Guided Strike - +10 to hit. Second attack becomes a 20 to hit, and 8 damage.
Galingal's second strike plunges deep and the fight goes out of the fish man, his grip on the side of the boat slackening as his body goes limp and slips into the water.

Lia hears the fish-thing speak, and replies in Asbysal:
”Your demon prince.. is already dead!… …Now… GET… OFF… MY.. BOAT!!…”.
((deception if needed: 23 ))
…and with that she plays an unnaturally deep chord on her Lyre and casts dissonant whispers…
Cast a spell action: WIS save (DC13) or take 7 (psychic damage) and burn reaction to move as far away as they can (half and no move on success).
If it succeeds, this should also provoke opportunity attacks from anyone with a reaction to spare and in melee with the monster too.
Lia stays around 10ft back from the edge of the boat behind the others.
