All of you meet up in front of the Inn. The day is cloudy and very windy. Fortunately, it is a westerly wind, so you will have it at your back as you eventually make your way to the Eastern gate and out to the road. As you travel the streets of the Crater, hear the bustling noises of trade on the marketway; merchants and hecklers sell their wares on the side of the road, the patrolling town guard keeping order when an occasional haggling turns into an argument. The aroma of smoked fish and salty ocean air occasionally wafts by on the wind, teasing you even this early on in the cool, dim dawn.
***** greets the others and when everyone is gathered together follows them through the markets to where they need to be to sign up, keeps a close eye on Illia but otherwise keeps to himself and is quiet, still trying to work out exactly what Wolhana was attempting to do to that tree last night but gives up thinking that it must be some new urban boy fad of some sort wondering what they will think up next.
Illia faces Kugan hearing his voice and just smiles a bit sounding a little amused as she says, "I will agree with you on that, it definitely could have been worse but luckily it wasn't."
Kugan Silveredge
"Ahah yes, and it's nice to eat away your seriousness Illia"
The Fighter greets the others when arrived "He guys! How was your starry night? If you have all your staff we should leave, we have a long way to north to reach Dewspire and the weather will not be our ally, I was thinking of making a little of stocks for the journey if you don't mind"
Said that Kugan will take the marketplace of Crater to find some dried meat and such. Once the supplies are done he is ready to leave Duskport and take the road to Dewspire

***** gives the warrior Kugan a quick toothy smile, "I don't know about you Kugan but I would venture a guess that my night was not nearly as eventful as yours and the fair lass there, some dang fool making a terrible racket rutting with a tree or some such kept me up, then before you know it sounded like others come around to join in on the fun. Me I am an old timer, I need my beauty sleep you know I just pulled a blanket over my ears and drowned it all out... but I guess I could have been dreaming but then I usually dream about sweet Gnomish maids."
As the warrior leads the others on to the marketplace for supplied ***** follows along with the others, really not interested or having much in the way of coin to shop anyway so just follows along singing in his out of tune voice an old tribal Goblin tune to keep himself alert and occupied.
Wolhana catches up with the others at the inn. "I had a great time last night. got a good workout, made some friends, went for a run, and had a nice long rest... things are turning up Wukong!"
As he follows the others into the market, he can't help but to ask honestly to the shop owners about the utility and application of their wares and curios. " how does that even work? is it useful? People pay how much for that?" Wolhana approaches one of the patrons who seems to be in a heated debate with a shopowner "listen, friend... if you become this worked up over such a trivial item, it's obviously not worth the trouble. breathe easy, buddy. " he turns and continues to walk on with the others.
You all make your way across the Marketway, and soon reach the eastern tunnel and gate. As you prepare to leave the city, a pair of town guard briefly stop you to warn you of a "madman with a monkey tail that goes around punching trees for no reason", and wish you a good journey.
You leave the town with no further trouble and start on your way to Dewspire.
Kugan grins at the guard's alert, he has someone in mind of course "Thank you sir, we will keep an eye on that, don't mind" He produces the Imperial salute and greets the guard.
The Beastkin leeds the crew, he knows the road, well, its simple an quite straight, but he feels enough confidence to step before the others, or, step back sometimes to have some chat
"Ehi, Wolhana...what exactly did to you that tree?" He asks with a big smile on his face.
Illia follows them all humming a very soft tune as she looks around. She almost seems nervous whenever she looks around however seems more relaxed after checking her surroundings. She looks at Wolhana as he speaks and then goes back to looking around.
***** shakes his furry head and laughs at Wolhana exercise remark giving Kugan a sly wink, "did not sound like that tree was making those tree-ish groans and whimpers from exercise... sound like tree-ish passion to me and I knows tree-ish passion, its kinda my thing... you know nature and all that crap... but I reckon that could have just been its death cries of being bent and broken... shattered, poor thing." The pudgy short Goblin adds, "thanks, but I for one don't care to join in either case but to each their own I always says, who am I to judge."***** continues walking along, "shall we continue then, we are burning daylight folks, chop, chop!"
You all move along the eastern path, walking afoot (and I'm assuming for now at a normal pace). Outside the tunnel is a dusty road, bordered by a rare forest of palm trees ((read "rare" here as an antonym for dense)). As you break midday for lunch, light snow starts falling down from the cloudy sky. A few hours before needing to settle for the night, you finish walking up a slope; turning around, you can see the town of Duskport, small and far-off in the distance.
And then you all hear a sharp cry. Wolhana, you are the first to realize its source as you look up and see two winged creatures, far larger than a bird, circling above the group. The sunlight not able to glare through the clouds, you easily recognize the distinctive eagle head and talons mounted on a lion body; griffons.
"Well, would you look at that!? Such majestic creatures! How lucky are we??" Wolhana points to the sky indicating them to the others.
He then begins to imitate them, flapping his arms as if he too, was a beast of the sky, soaring through the air. Laughing, he runs a circle around the group, showing off his best impression of a Gryphon. "Co-Ca, Co-Ca"
***** looks upward squinting his eyes watching them circle above, a wide smile on his face at the sight of tasty-looking flying chickens. He then turns to Illia seeing her draw her weapon and gazes down upon his own... his mitts... then looks back up at the sky trying to remember if he packed his frying pan or not.
Watching Wolhana he laughs and looks about for the largest nearby palm tree and with his Slippers of Spider Climbing runs up the side of the tree to the top of it where he can sit at his leisure and get a closer look at them, grabbing a coconut if its the sort of palm tree that produces such for a snack. Finding what he is looking for, ***** castsPrimal Savagery and thrusts two clawed fingers deep inside the top it to form drinking holes and takes a swing to refresh himself torn between the amazing performance of Wolhana and the sight of giant flying chickens overhead.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

"Agree, Wolhana, a beautiful sight" The Fighter glances Illia as she is reading her axe "I am not sure we will need it" Kugan follows the circling Griffons in the sky, squinting his eyes, trying to figure out what they are doing
*****from his tree perch calls down to Kugan, "I do think they are just pulling our chains, I am all one to be ready to enjoy a nice meal of flying giant roasted chicken but have my doubts if either heard the dinner bell. So perhaps we might as well just move on... what do you think, noble and high commander?"
The two griffin suddenly swoop down from the sky. Spotting what it things easy prey, the first dives at the goblin, trying to pluck it out of the tree. The other hungry creature lands and charges at Kugan.

***** giggles as the giant flying chicken's razor-sharp claws rake across his big pot belly, "oh, you... I am not that kind of Goblin, I prefer a girl to buy a feller like me dinner before getting to the slap and tickle part,"speaking in Beast Speech as his arms flail out attempting to keep his balance to not fall out of the tree, his Slippers of Spider Climbing looking to maintain adhesion.

For now, both griffons are just circling above. You aren't quite sure what to make of it.
You may roll a nature check to recall more information about griffons.
