Serena informs the others of what Flappy reported to her and asks Flappy if he could distinguish a deeper voice, possibly belonging to an ogre. She then gets to work to examine the strongbox for traps before trying to disarm any traps and then unlock it with her tools. Investigation: 20 Thieves tools: 26
Flappy relays that all he could hear was more orcish mumbling... not enough to discern a particular voice.
When Serena turns her attention to the strongbox, a quick perusal finds it untrapped. She whips out her thieves tools and with a *ping* *click* the lock practically flies open.
Opening the strongbox reveals that it contains 180gp and a flask of holy water.
"Hey, let's liberate this wealth, I'm sure those orcses won't mind."Serena says, motioning for Banjo to administrate the acquired gold . "What do you say Tresvar, ready to take on some of those green-skins again?" She says, ready to follow the dragonborn.
After hastily plundering obvious portable value from the hoard and stores in the cavern, the group moves up teh north-western tunnel, led by the mighty dragonborn.
They soon come to the T-Junction that had been reported by Flappy, with a door clearly visible down the path to the east.
"Let's ask Flappy if she will check the other end of the hall first... it wouldn't do to get ourselves caught between two bands of Orcs."

Flappy looks a bit annoyed but sliently flies down the corridor to the left to listen for more orcs. Flappy perception: 21 "Flappy is actually a he." Serena whispers to Banjo with a smile as Flappy is away.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Flappy is not gone long before Serena receives a telepathic message from him:
On the left/south side of the tunnel, there is a short flight of stairs leading up to a large, iron-bound door. A bloodstained human skull is fixed to the center of the door by an iron spike. I can just hear what sounds like snarls and ... a deep, cruel, chuckle?
The tunnel looks like it continues a way past this set of stairs and turns right/north.
Then after a little more time Flappy returns and relays to Serena:
The tunnel comes to another door after the turn. I could definitely hear orc voices behind it. In front of the door is a large statue which reminds me a bit of those statues we saw before we met the duergar.
Serena quietly informs the others of what Flappy has reported. (See spoilers in previous post.) "We're looking to find that ogre, right? Perhaps the deep cruel chuckle could be it and we should turn left to face it now?" She suggests to the others, waiting for their opinion.
The group moves down the tunnel. As they approach the steps, Banjo catches his foot on an unseen crack and nearly falls clattering, but is caught in the last second by Araynia.
They convene outside the door with its gruesome decoration.
"Okay, I think the door is fairly heavy so we'll have to push together." Serena says quietly to the others, looking at Tresvar. "There sems to be beasts with the ogre, but they seem to be eating so we could still catch them by surprise."She adds, ready to attack when the others are.
(Serena will give help action to Tresvar if Banjo and Livia is ready to blast away at what's beyond the door. Maybe time to bring out that fireball now if you have it. ;-)
"I want to try something,"Banjo whispers. "Let me rush in first. If this doesn't work out, bury me with all the appropriate pomp and circumstance, etc, etc."

“Ready?- check it for locks and traps?” Whispers Tresvar. Her sword and shield are ready..
Serena nods to Tresvar and moves cautiously up to the door, checking it for traps, then listening for sounds.

Now at the door, Serena can hear the slavering growls and grunts of what sounds like several beasts ... eating?
She quickly determines that the door is unlocked and untrapped. The door, however, looks very heavy and will likely need concerted effort to move.
