Tresvar's shimmering blade traces an arc through the air, catching the ghost on its path. With flash of divine energy, the party sees ripples run through the ghost. He makes a look of shock, or is it sorrow - mouth agape, "Nooooo... I faaaaaaiiiiiiilllllled!!!", he utters as a last groan dissolving into nothing.
Banjo wipes a bead of sweat from his brow. "We will likely never know. Some poor soul who perished with tasks unfinished... bound to this mortal plane in despair and madness." He shivers. "Dreadful sad fate... and dreadfully dangerous. I have heard tales that such spirits can take possession of the living... even stealing years of life away. It is fortunate we dispatched it so quickly."

Serena stands breathless for a few moments as the ghost dissolves into nothing. "Well, good job everyone, if we're lucky that was the presence behind the curse that Ghared spoke about." She says and starts to check the doors they passed.
Tresvar pushes in the first door she is near ((the one on the se of the hall)).
The door opens easily as dank air greets Tresvar's readied shield. Scanning the room it appears to have been a living area of some sort, although all the furniture is destroyed and the room is littered with the remains of orc and dwarven warriors - more dwarves than orcs. The walls are smeared with similar crude orc graffiti.
tresvar searches around for any items of interest or value. (Investigation 10 in log) “big battle here. Hey- you all better stay dead , skeletons..” (this last part addressed at the bones)
The two turn over the corpses which remain still. The only thing they find here is the sorrow of a last stand. The weapons and corpses have been looted or destroyed.
"Ugh..." laments Banjo. "It reminds me of the reek of that rat nest back in the Sunless Citadel."

Serena gingerly scours the wreckage of battle. Again, most useful implements have been looted or destroyed. She does however find a well cut dark obsidian stone and a tiger-eye with dark brown, caramel and green bands. Each look to be about 10gp apiece when separated from their settings.

“Whew.. that was scary. Who was that? What did they fail to do, I wonder? “ tresvar says, poking the floor a bit where the ghost dissolved.

Serena turns back to the western hall and its four doors. The doors are simple and unlocked. Listening reveals only silence...

Tresvar glances at Serena to confirm it’s ok, then opens the first door and looks in.
Serena nods at Tresvar and takes a step back, letting the dragonborn open the doors in turn.

“Check the next room?” Tresvar says.
Tresvar leaves and checks the next room, the one across the hall on the northern wall.
The door does not move freely, but only moves a little, stuck.
Strength check from Tresvar.

Serena stands ready to help out with forcing the door open.

With a steady pull, dust flakes off the jamb as Tresvar opens the door. A stale, rancid odor greats the adventurers noses, but nothing else.
