Both Banjo and Serena recall some sort of terrible necromantic faerie tale references to something that maybe was called the Gulthias Tree. Banjo remembers something about the trees origins from some sort of undead... But that is all at the moment.

Banjo cleans the wound from the caltrops. While lubricating his weary adventurer's soul with the banter among new adventuring companions and captives, Banjo's foot begins to feel better. He thinks he can proceed as before.

"It would seem my magical defences faded away. I'm still incapable of holding it forever." Livia remarks to no one in particular. "Shall we coninue then? Or, perhaps go back? Where do we plan to sleep when we get too tired?"
"Well, you just might have gotten something wrong there Tresvar," Serena says smirking. "I recall hearing of the Gulthias tree in some necromantic faerie tale. We'll find out when we confront this Belak I guess. I don't like the idea of nature corrupted in that way and would very much like to put a stop to that." Serena says, clearly determined to not only find Lady Kerowyns missing children
"If you are ok with it Livia we will go on a little while longer." Serena says, and when the others seem ready she checks on the door. There were no traps. Serena quietly opens the door. At the ready, Serena and Tresvar can see a short hall going south which ends with a turn to the west. From beyond this turn the periodic sounds of arrows flying and goblins grubling over shots can be heard more loudly now.
((What is your desired marching order? 1) Tresvar 2) Serena 3)Banjo 4) Livia 5)Meepo or does anyone wish to move?))
After glancing down the hallway, he will look back to Bearbelch and Numbguts and whisper, "Any traps in this hall? Nod yes or no."

The intrepid band of Volo's Adventurers jumps out to attack!
A permanent camp of sorts lies north of the short crenellated wall, complete with a fire ring and several small iron cook pots.
There they see three goblins. One stands agape with shortbow in hand, having just fired at the target. The other two are armed, but in a joking mood, rather than alert to danger.
Banjo will cross the room to stand before the door on the other side (with 25 ft of non-injured-foot-addled-movement I think I can get there without dashing) looking to block their potential retreat.
He will hiss at what are likely only two remaining goblins, in goblin:
'We have you surrounded. Drop and surrender and live. Fight, and the dragonborn will crush you. Choose now."

Livia takes her crossbow and aims at the (I think) last Goblin. As she releases the bolt, she wonders: "I thought we didn't want to kill every Goblin we meet. That's a very bad way to start negotiations."
Selena starts the assault, with her shot. The angle proves a little difficult, and the arrow just misses the goblin. Tresvar makes up for this with her furious attack, as her blade cuts through the goblin over the short wall. Livia's attack takes out the goblin standing just in front of another door on the northmost wall.
