Triäsa nods. "I agree with you Daventry. Are you going last or shall I?" she asks. "Closing up the grate is smart." She moves along with whatever order the group wishes.
Ludolf nods at Pardot. "I doubt we will be able to sneak all the way to our freedom but at least we may be able to sneak up on those we have to deal with on our way out." He says quietly.
"There's no cover between us and the next door,"Daventry replies to Pardot. "I think I read a trashy romance novel that had creatures like these. The little ones are called Magmin, nasty little pyros that explode when you kill 'em, and the big one is a salamander... the thing radiates heat like a bonfire and is very dangerous to even be next to. Hmm..."
Daventry relays a plan to the team. "Pardot, crawl on up here. When he activates his steam machine, fill the room with fog except for the path to the door. Tri, remember where those two little guys are, hit 'em with a sleep spell as soon as the fog goes. Everyone follow the wall to the left, and the door will be about twenty or so feet... last one out close the grate and it'll be like we were never here."

Triäsa again nods to Daventry, moving up a bit to have a better view. She focuses in on the spot where she will need to cast the Sleep spell, ready to cast once Pardot creates the fog.

Dandelion purrs, "Like a cat all of you as quiet as possible." She casts a doubtful glance at Gunnar and shakes her head. Her amulet glows again and you each a strange grace and quietness. Your movements feel soft, like liquid as your feline friend casts Pass Without a Trace.
Shortly thereafter steam fills the air followed quickly by Pardot's familiar cloud of fog. The two mingle in the oppressive heat but give you a nice cover to move.
Triäsa if you'd like to cast sleep on the smaller guys go ahead and roll the HP affected.

The little balls of lava that are the Magmin blink their elemental eyes as an unnatural sleep overwhelms their playful mood. Through the fog you hear the satisfying clunk as their bodies hit the floor, the two creatures fast asleep.
Gunnar opens his mouth, about to say something but a sharp look of reprimand from Cathbad silences the big man. One by one you quickly, silently make your way out of steam vent and across the burning hot room of lava. The door on the east side of the room swings freely open to reveal.... another hallway. This one continues to the east before branching to the north and south. The north door is a simple single wooden door while to the south is a set of double doors.
The temperature is notably cooler and you are more than thankful to not be crawling through the opressive heat.
Dandelion paces, curious to see where you head next...

Ludolf is relieved to get out of the steaming heat, wiping his brows and panting with the exertion, ready to follow Daventry through whichever door she would choose, just as long as it gets the team out of this predicament.
As the fog fills the room and the group silently moves through, Pardot lags slightly behind the others in the steam, and then leaving the room and entering the vents does his best to suppress a bit of a shiver as he looks forward, following the group.
Daventry begins to go for the double doors, but pauses. She looks at Dandelion, then Cathbad and Gunnar, before speaking solemnly. "Do you think, in your heart of hearts, that your friends are still alive? Otherwise... freedom is likely through these double doors..."
"We are still alive so there is always hope but I have no idea how long we have been here... and there were many of nights with endless screams." Cathbad replies he takes a long drink from his jug.
Dandelion in a hushed tone, "It matters not if they live. It only matters that you four live. If you think this is the way out then we should go. Now."

Daventry breathes deeply, closing her eyes and tilting her head upwards in thought. "Ok. Ok."She looks at the pair, and the rest of you see her shoulders slump as if carrying a heavy physical weight. "Pray forgive me if I'm wrong, but we need to leave..."
You open the double doors to a very very dark room. There is no light here and it is deafly silent. The ceiling seems a bit higher and the air is dry and musty. Those of you with dark vision can make that this is a large, dark vault and is evidently some kind of tomb. Five great sarcophagi sit in the chamber, one of them raised high on a dais. The walls are lined with the skulls of serpentfolk—some relatively recent, some browned with age, some fossilized.
Perception at disadvantage unless you have darkvision or if you want to create light.... You could also close the door and walk away.
