Triäsa is just content to rest. Although she will take some water and some light food if offered. She stays put until Daventry is back and grateful she explains everything to the captain.
"I'm not sure how important those books are that Matreous is presumed to have taken. But we probably should press on to Waterdeep. Though ultimately getting to the Dreamlands seems most important. I just do not know what we will find there."
She looks to Pardot. "Speaking of rituals... Pardot, can you bring forth a bird companion again? Given what happened at the temple, there might not be any Yuan-ti left alive to terrorize the Grippli village. If your little bird friend can get eyes on the village and confirm, we can at least get the frogfolk back to their homes..."
Pardot, still blinking in amazement to be away from the threats, takes a good few breaths to regain his composure, but then looks to Daventry and says, "Ah.. yes yes. I still have some energy left, even after all that." He then holds out a hand as a small hawk appears in it, to which he quietly gives some instructions in Druidic before it leaps into the air. "He'll be back in a bit to report on what has happened, or... what there is to see from the sky at least."
She suddenly looks about for Pardot. "Hey! How are you doing Pardot? Feeling ok?"
At this Pardot looks inwardly, thinking of how to respond, and then, to the group as a whole says, "Yes, thank you... Something took a bit of a hold of me back there. And when the summoning was happening it was all I could do to not turn on you all. I still feel something remaining in me, but I think I at least am in control of myself. I'm not sure what they did when we were cursed, but I was closer and closer to... I don't know... becoming one of them?" Sighing he adds, "But thank the stars... when they return... that we're away." At that, Pockets, who had stayed aboard the ship, comes up and rubs her little head on Pardot's thighs, giving him some much needed affection.
Cathbad looks at Pardot and then the rest of you, "We may not all have made it but those who did owe you our lives." He smiles at Maxx "I made a promise I'd lay off the wine if you got us out of there"He takes his jug off his belt and gives a toss in the air and turns back to his fellow druid, Pardot. "You look like a man who appreciates nature and the simpler things in life. Takes this as thanks. It does more than just wine but I fear the temptation may get the best of me."He hands Pardot a simple clay jug with a cork stopper. It surprisingly light in fact it feels empty at that moment. "Just let it know what you need and it generally provides, I recommend the wine... just in moderation."
As the color continues to return to the halfling's face, he takes the jug with a smile, looking it over he says, "Wine would be nice after that," and feels it begin to get heavier in this hands. With a smile to Cathbad, he takes a large sip andfinds even more warmth returning to his face and summons, then droping a few goodberries into the jug for flavor, looking for Shorty to hand him the jug, adding quietly to his new friend, in halfling, "Enjoy a drink of something safe friend."
Finally, he looks to the others and says, "I will consult the omens later and see what I can find of these Dreamlands... But until then, I think all of us need some time..."
Pardot's familiar takes flight soaring over the swamps, the crab maze and on to the grippli village then north over the forest following the river to the ruins of the temple. It sees a shocking lack of movement. A few Yuan-ti roam without purpose through the forest but the village appears abandoned. The temple is gone, a giant hole in the ground with steam rising from a giant pit in the earth. There is no sign of the Anchorites.
One by one you all get cleaned up and meet for a bite to eat. Each of you take a seat and make some idly chatter as Shorty serves a rather impressive meal of fresh crab stew. As you are finishing your meal Cathbad clears his throat and puts an arm on Gunnar's shoulder, "Big man and I have been talking and we've come to a bit of proposition." He takes a sip of water before continuing, "It seems the Friendlies are in a bit of disarray and these poor Grippli aren't much better."
Gunnar continues for the druid, "We are going to stay here. Help them clear out the village of any remaining snakes and make sure the ones that are there don't have any heads. It seems you have alot to do and we don't want you to worry about the grippli.... too much. We'd like to go with you all to the Pond Mother at first light, if that's still your intention."
The rest of the meal will continue jovially. Gunnar shares his story's of Glory, you're not sure but some of them might even have been true. Maxx and Cathbad sit close the entire night, his arm on the back of her chair while Shorty brings around some sort of gelatinous dessert that tastes like grapes. The little guy is wizard with minimal resources.
Feel free to RP as you'd like before retiring to your rooms for the evening. I'll move you along to the next morning sometime tomorrow.

Still with Triäsa resting in his lap, Ludolf gives her a worried look as Pardot mentions someting taking a bit of hold of him, then looking up at the halfling. "It is good that you fended off whatever tried to control you back at the temple my friend, but I think you would need some more care to make sure you won't change. Maybe we can help you somehow?" He says with a friendly smile, then again looking at Triäsa and Daventry for support.
Later Ludolf would enjoy the meal offered and simply nod as Gunnar explains their plans to stay and help the grippli. The team had to move on soon, either to Watredeep or, if a path was found, to the Dreamlands and the unknown Kadath.
Triäsa nods to Cathbad and Gunnar as they talk about staying with the grippli. "A good choice. They may need help here. We'll miss the Friendlies though."
To Pardot, she adds, "I could try to use Detect Magic to see if I can find anything. If it is a spell, I might be able to help. But a curse I would not have any means to deal with."
Otherwise, once she's had a smile bite to eat, she is more than ready to sleep.
The night passes quickly and you awake with a sense of power and optimism you have had for a while. Quickly you get ready and grab a small bit of food and meet on the deck of the ship. Gunnar and Cathbad accompany you to the Pond Mother's make shift home. You are welcome warmly by the remaining grippli, it seems word of your exploits have reach the grippli.
The Pond Mother inhales deeply and speaks with in common straining her vocal cords making the noises, "I hear you have reclaimed our home.... Driving the snakes from the lands.... their temple.... gone...."Again she takes a deep breath inward and says with sincerity, "Thank You for saving us."
She motions to two of the Grippli standing on either side of her. One come forward a small coffer and opens it, "This... is what we have to give in thanks..."The coffer contains 200 gold pieces that they set on the floor in front of all of you. The second Grippli then comes forward with some sort of jug of what appears to be very dirty, brown water. "Drink... from our pond! This will make you friend of our people and all our kind shall know by the words you speak!" The grippli comes forward first to Gunnar who looks to Cathbad. Cathbad shrugs and Gunnar narrows his eyes and shakes his head. "I am honored Pond Mother but I will decline your water. I will offer you my axe to help rebuild and my hand in friendship but I don't think I'll drink the.... water..."
The Pond Mother nods seemingly indifferent and offers the water to the four of you all next.
Will you drink of the water?

Ludolf would try his best to rest in a hammock and then join the others as they visit the Pond Mother, politely joining the others to take a sip of the dirty water.
