Oriki raises an eyebrow and enters the room, casually wandering around to the side of the man while smiling in expectation of his answer and doing his best to look friendly.
What interest do you have with a long dead spirit my boy? You look scarcely old enough to even remember that name. Why don’t you come a bit closer so we can talk more privately? He demurs to Sheridan. He looks at Oriki and smiles, the faintest hint of elongated fangs appearing before disappearing behind lips again. Oriki must make a DC14 Intelligence Save or take 21 psychic damage and the vampire knows your surface thoughts and emptions. on a successful save it is half (10 damage) and they only glean your general emotional state
For a brief moment, a wince of pain flashes across Oriki's face before he regains his composure and turns to the man with a smile, his hand at his belt.
That wasn't very kind, friend. I strongly suggest that you don't do it again. I've nothing against your kind, but I don't like people who mess with my friends.
My boy why should i care what you do and do not like? Does the wolf care what the sheep thinks? No ofcourse not. Now you should know that it is in your interests to answer my questions before i get… peckish…
Oriki frowns slightly before glancing to the others in the party, hoping that they will back his play.
Wordlessly, he sidesteps towards the vampire from its side, tripping it at the leg while attempting to place it into an armlock and forcing its head into the cauldron
Oriki beams a smile at Draskan and grunts in satisfaction. With his free hand, he draws his shortsword and plunges it down towards the vampire's head and neck, which are still partly submerged in the hot contents of the cauldron
There is a moment of connection between the scalding flesh and steel where the runes inscribed on the blade light up. Draskan has a firm grip on a shoulder and arm one second and is holding empty clothes the next, dust spreading down the side of the apparatus on onto the floor.
The door opens to an impressive looking laboratory. You see coils sparking away as esoteric energies arc between them, the room is dimly lit and you can see the glowing outline of a humanoid shape held up in the air by a cage of energy.
Argetlam draws his sword as it gives off light to see by and steps farther into the room.
As he nears the apparatus closest to the figure imprisoned 6 shapes detach from the darkness and launch surprise attacks at him. Another descends from above the doorway and launches an attack at Draskan stood below. Argetlam and Draskan are both grappled by their assailants and bitten. Draskan takes 10 damage and Argetlam takes 24 total damage
Oriki, peeking from round the corner, sees the attack. He runs in, shortsword in hand, and attacks the vampire that's attacking Draskan before shooting a bolt at the vampire attacking argetlam from his off-hand
the bolt streaks across the laboratory and passes through one of the sextuplets, causing it to pop and disappear. Meanwhile the shortsword glows with power again as it sinks into the side of the vampire attacking Draskan, causing a deep wound

He pauses looking Oriki up and down, a thoughtful look crossing his face

Seeing Oriki making his move Draskan quickly moves in, taking the other arm, holding the vampire down

Oriki shouts in surprise and delight before brushing himself off and turning to Draskan
Hah! Nicely done, Draskie. Thanks for the help
Draskan scowls at the nickname before walking off with a grunt, Just one door to check now as he opens the door to the south
The door opens to an impressive looking laboratory. You see coils sparking away as esoteric energies arc between them, the room is dimly lit and you can see the glowing outline of a humanoid shape held up in the air by a cage of energy.
Sheridan will scan the tomes he took for anything that might explain the binding mechanism.
The tomes are too hefty for you to pull anything out of it in the 6 seconds you have to flick through
Sheridan walks into the room to get a better look around.

Draskan swings for the vampire attacking him
Being grappled as he is Draskan has a hard time of it, oly connecting the once but it flates up causing a nasty flash burn
