Thorn sighs. "I've heard stories about Argynvost and his men. They did things for Barovia. Helped people. Native Barovians, Vistani, visitors and Strahd's enemies."
"The latter forced him in confrontation with Strahd," Rose adds. "Strahd killed him. During the battle, some of Argynvost's men fled back to the manor. They say their ghosts still linger in this place."

Bral failing to find anything of interest in this room, he turns his attention to Thorn.
"So I'm guessing Argynvost had something to do with that apparition? He wants us to that their spirits to rest.
Well, we're still searching for this knowledge of Strahd, or whatever. Let's see what we can do about their ghosts at the same time.
I don't think there's anything left for us in this room."
Bral then walks past Thorn out of the room, through the door and back into the main hall. He then calls back to rest of them,
"What was it that Madame Eva told us? A fallen house guarded by a great stone dragon... Well we're in the house, the stone dragon is outside..."
He pauses for a moment, thinking.
"I'm beginning to think that there's a theme here of dragons... Look to the highest peak."
Bral places a free hand to his forehead and curses.
"I had it all wrong. The highest peak, she wasn't talking about a mountain. She was probably talking the highest point in this manor. Whatever we're looking for... it must be in one of the towers."
Bral then looks up the stairs trying to see as much as he can. Then he begins running forward, but he doesn't run up the steps. Instead he runs up the wall on the left hand side of the stairs, finishing on the landing.
"Well come on then!"
He shouts back down the stairs before turning his attention to the rest of the manor.

Going up the stairs you reach the balconies overlooking the floor below. Two stone balconies flank the main foyer. Balusters carved to resemble knights in shining armor support their elegantly carved stone railings. Weapons and shields festoon the walls along each of these walkways, while alabaster busts of handsome men flank hallways that lead north and south away from the foyer. At the west end of each balcony is an archway that leads to a spiral staircase going up.

You also hear some sword clanging from the hallway leading North.
Baudric continues to follow along at the rear of the group, ready for whatever enemies might yet lurk in this place. As they pass by the weapons, he glances over them to see if anything looks like it might still be serviceable.
Baudric you think that these weapons could be used. There are six swords and six shields. Amelia, you walk by the sword at the end and it begins to glow blue.

Amelia decides she probably isn't the best one to examine this, given her relative lack of familiarity with magic, or with any weapons that aren't summoned through sheer psychic will. She holds it up, addressing the others. "Anyone know what sort of magic might be affecting this thing?"
Thorn walks over with a scroll and reads off it. As he does the sword glows once more. "It's a magical blade that likely belonged to one of Argynvost's soldiers."
OOC: The sword is +1 longsword.

Estelle draws up to Ubly’s side, admiring the busts with them. “Try not to wander off alone,” she says with a smile. “Always take a buddy!”
Estelle will scan the North corridor with her 300 foot darkvision. Perception (I’m on mobile so I’m rolling this in a separate dice roller! Dunno how to do it on here. I got 16)

Baudric nods to the weapons and shields, "If anyone needs a blade or shield, these seem serviceable still."
Amelia looks at the glowing sword. She frowns and picks it up, trying to determine how, exactly, it's magical.

If she fails the check, she'll focus her psionic power to add another 2 to it.

"Yeah," Bral responds to Amelia. "I'm no expert in magic, but I don't think it was the best move to randomly pick up a magic sword."

Amelia shrugs. “I’ve survived making dumber decisions. Does anybody want this?”
Bral considers the sword for a moment, comparing it to his own, "I'd take it if no one else wants it."

From the northern corridor you hear a faint, "I don't care for swords..."
Baudric shakes his head, "I prefer my crossbow, and even when I need a sword, that's not my preferred style."
Amelia turns to Bral. “Looks like it’s yours. I think you’ll get the most use out of it.” She hands the longsword to him.

Bral sheathes his old sword and takes the new sword from Amelia nodding in return.
After that, he decides to join Estelle and Ubly in the north corridor.
"Seen anything unusual?"
