Morgan relaxes again now as well, turning back to Scarlet's book, only this time she also pulls out some parchment and a quill. Since she's now read through the book to get a feel for its content, she starts back at the beginning again, this time jotting down notes for any errors or confusing points that she finds.
"Fine, it'll be either 2 gold pieces, or you help me clean up the mess afterwards. Then it's all settled." Thekla laughs. "I expect the gang and their blanket fort to cause a lot of work afterwards. So I could use an extra set of hands."
"Of course I will help, Anything you need I will do." With this, he goes to try help with scarlet with whatever she needs.
(OOC) Are we able to do two characters at once in the tavern?
I don’t see why not. I didn’t read any rules about it, and I attacked one of my characters with another the other day and I loved the RP that people brought to the conflict. It was a lot of fun
Do I handwave that Archibald is being shown a room? He's not... civilised, and while he understands what a room, a bed, and a bath look like, I don't believe he would know where to find one in a hotel. His lifestyle is more... caves, burrows, and gutters. Also, I'm not 100% sure what the etiquette on this FFRP thread is regarding controlling NPCs to handwave this. In the last one I played, controlling any character other than the one you entered the tavern with was strictly forbidden.
Archibald follows a steward up to his new room. Within moments, you hear sounds of playful joy and loud splashing. The same steward comes down sopping wet, with a look of pure displeasure on his face as he brings down Archibald's tattered rags (at arms length) to the laundry facilities. "I'll just take these to be cleaned then..." he says to no one in particular.
Once the door is opened, a sopping wet dog comes walking through the door and goes over to a corner. In the corner, a cloud of mist rises up and where the dog once was, a man now stands. He walks over to the bar and orders a drink before sitting on a stool and witing there, still sopping wet.
Cloud blinks, slightly startled, then shakes her head in resignation. In the last day, she's seen more strange characters in this tavern than in the last year. Glancing at the blanket fort, she decides to take a break, and walks over to a bar, ordering a mug of ale and some stew to chase the lingering chill from the doorway out of her fur. She sits down next to the strange person to wait.
"Thank you, kind sir, it is very comfortable as a dog, but when in the company of others, one should always show his true self." He peers over at cloud and gives a tired smile and says "hello"
A cloaked figure creaks the door open and steps inside with the assistance of a long walking stick. He taps the the stick on the floor and the door swings shut behind him. "Quite the storm we have on our hands, hm?" The cloaked figure raises his hood, revealing an almost ancient man with a thin white beard.
" My name is John Kelly. I hope you don't mind if I wait out the storm here." All this time, Yerandell is still working on the pillow fort but has kept his head down trying not to be noticed
"Oh, no need to worry, I do not plan to harm a fly, but I might freak out a few if I fall asleep. You see, I am a druid, and I am able to change into any animal I have seen. The more I have seen a creature, the easier it is. If you will excuse me, I am going to find a bench and catch a few winks before I continue on." With that, he changes into a squirrel and runs into the rafters.
The tall cloaked figure moves across to the bar, not making any sound before sitting down at a stool. "Forgive my foolishness, it comes with the age. I may have forgotten to introduce myself. My name is Tarvin"
Nine-While-Nine sits up and stretches, he has napped briefly and is slightly renewed by the fellowship he has been given. He eyes the Druid a bit dubiously, while Nine respects the craft, shapeshifting reminds him of darker times. His clever fingers sift through the pouches at his belt and pull out a handful of arrowheads, mostly made of steel or silvered iron, but a few made of some kind of dark bone. He pulls out a whetstone and a series of leather and silk strops and begins carefully sharpening and honing the edges.
"I'm just admiring the beauty of this forest. I haven't been to this tavern since it was just a sapling!" Tarvin lets out a wheezy laugh before clearing his throat and glancing around at the other patrons.

Just as the storm is picking up ferocity, a scratching comes from the door, with a soft whine.
Hearing the scratching, Cloud walks over to the door from where she's laying blankets and opens it.

I'm sure it's fine. This tavern welcomes all, so long as you harm nobody and keep your peace.
